>You kind of did. It could have been from the hug. Most likely from the hug. But then, there was also the fact that after all of that. All three of you we're still able to come together for a hug rather than either you or Discord taking things too far accidentally. Really, it was Fluttershy who held the family aspect together. And that, you could definitely feel, because you did care about Discord, and you knew he cared about you too. Threats and pranks aside. But without Fluttershy. nothing would actually stick. Because then Discord wouldn't have a reason to care. And if Discord ever actually lost Fluttershy, he'd probably have to be sealed on the sheer fact that his grief could be world ending.

a pretty good sized chapter we got here. And that's not even the full picnic yet. I probably could have gotten more done. but my writing process does slow down as i get tired. and it doesn't help that certain scenarios are tougher to write than others (like take note, the chrysalis chapter where she attacks Anon is very straightforward. in Dialogue and actions. So I was able to write a ton, almost double than usual. While with this chapter, i had to think more. And choose my words carefully, and still I feel i messed up a few times. But it's too late now sans a few edits to the pastebin. After the picnic, We will see what Discord thought of the whole situation. and then we get back to bugbutt

As a /sci/entist I believe Discord would actually be triggered by our chaos since we "made" it a science.
We understand that the universe is in a permanent chaotic state, thing that can be said with ecosystems since a stable state is only theoritcal. Systems are in constant movement with flux of energy coming in and out in variable quantities.
And we made all that into science, perfectly ordered, replicable, reportable science. We basically took the thing he lives for and transformed it into what he hates the most.
Wars, corruptions, hate speech and movements, nuclear weapons, etc. Aren't chaos in Discord eyes but more like ultimate destruction, thing that in his character isn't something that is very attractive.
And by going with human nature, I think that people underestimates how ponies would react to human behiavor and knowledge (As anyone would when meeting a species that is in a lot of ways hundreds if not thousands ahead of you) the very idea of knowing that they are meeting someone that comes from a world that is permenantly at war, and even finds the idea of imaginary war and killing a thing of entertainment (books, movies, vidya, etc.) would be too terrifying for those peace loving creatures whose biggest weapon is friendship

And continuing with that, they would be terrified, a lot, for our history is written in blood, while ponies wars always involves banishing the evil dude, not having any real casualty and a happy ending usually for everyone. Where our conflicts are morally gray and they end up giving birth to more conflict, as an example WWII didn't end on global peace, it ended with the birth of the cold war and a conflict on the middle east that is still going until this day.
We have love, friendship and high moral values too that at least in my opinion, most of the people try to encourage but we aren't pure good as the pastel colored horses, conflict is something that we like in everything, not necesarly real, but we like the idea of having some sort of conflict going on in something. Humans as a whole are morally gray, shit that the ponies wouldn't understand, but we are also too methodical for someone like Discord who just like lighthearted random jokes.
If for some reason a human would stumble on Equestria by god knows what reason, then that guy or gal realitically speaking would start one hell of a ride there.

I don't think Tirek would fit here since his power comes from absorbing the magic of others. Power source that he wouldn't find in any amount on Earth. And what would he actually absorb? Electricity? He can't absorb most of our power resources since it's actually hydrocarbures that are burned in order to generate electricity or to generate kinect energy to move our vehicles. Nuclear power? I doubt that he would pull that off without dying from extreme radiation exposure. I'm talking about the most realistical scenario where a cartoon villain would come to our world, and hence play by our world rules. There isn't a single power source he could absorbe. You really do have a gift for wrighting. but as far as characterizations go. I always try my best to portray the characters the way I've seen them throughout the show (while cherrypicking some aspects from the comics) And trying to make them work with our Anon here. Discord is probably the most fun to write, but he's also very difficult to write for with every step. I've had to make sure his character progression along with Anon's went hand in hand. Getting to the point where it's clear Discord likes Anon, but can't resist tormenting him no matter how much he cares because he knows he can get away with it and Anon doesn't give him that "Guilt" feeling Fluttershy is capable of. But eh, I've always been a more of dialogue type of person. That's probably where I hit it home.

And that's wrong. She wouldn't listen to anypony either, she wanted everything her way......even if she had to force it on you. I kind of wish she would have listened, she ran away after all of that. And I can't imagine how lonely things are for her right now."

welp, gotta get ready for work. but decided to watch the episode. Went pretty much how i thought it would. right down to Starlight's reason (though i honestly expected more than that ONE reason).
Also didn't expect Starlight to be more powerful than Twilight. Ending was really eh. Should have cut out the Chrysalis part to add in some extra Glimmer time. I'm also glad that my feelings on Glimmer's dedication was dead on.

I think at some point in time, the Anon you portrayed in your story would get annoyed at falling through clouds (such as he is at landing on his head) and either use the cardboard wings (if he even mastered the most basic of flight by then), his horn (cause magic) or simply land on a structual part of clouds dale that isn't clouds. (Such as the air strip.)
Eventually he should figure out that every time he goes to Cloudsdale, it's in the past just from spotting Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy or other BG ponies such as Butch.
He should eventually figure out that time magic does exist as he has seen the episode where Sparklebutt went a week into the past to warn herself, even though Discord dosen't allow him to use time magic himself with Sombra's horn.
Or at least spot one of the epic confrontations between Twi and Star.
Also if Anon interacts with alternate discord it would be relatively short and Twi is likely to spot him.

Well I just came back from playing Endless Legend, 10/10.
