I don't want to tell you people what you can't like, and I enjoy the instrumental portions of SGaP's work, but why in the name of M.A. Larson did he insert a bunch of voice clips cut and spliced together with next to no rhyme or reason? It's confusing, it's distracting, and it's prevented me from really being a fan of any of his music. It's like how dubstep just randomly adds screaming or electronic noises without trying to form any coherent melody out of them.

Just sounds like standard singing on top of an instrumental, the kind where the vocals don't follow the music's rhythm. Like how each instrument has a different melody. I think that's the biggest difference between SGaP and your example besides how much is understandable.
If you stop trying to listen to it as English vocals, and just as another instrument blending in, you may like it better.
Most of my interest in pony is actually the fan music, mostly due to the frequency of happy or upbeat themes.
