***READ THE GUIDE***
For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!

Try being specific, especially about your materials and process. Post pictures whenever possible; even if the kit/part looks bad, you are more likely to get help posting pictures.

Field Repair
Basically what this means is that rather than the mobile suit being fresh out of a factory, it's quite the opposite. Whether it's trudging through dense jungles or dodging debris in asteroid belts, your mobile suit has seen some better days.
You've been out in the field for quite a long time now, nearly half a year of active duty in the front lines and your personal mobile suit's pretty banged up. What's worse is the fact that there isn't a maintenance bay within several thousand kilometers of your local area that's capable of making any major repairs. Your unit's engineering crew has resorted to patch work and jury-rigging to keep your machine operational. Stray fire might have crippled its legs and arms or otherwise dealt considerable damage to a mobile suit's systems meanwhile some units have simply lost bits of armor and panels to the elements and have been forced to patch weld metal sheets over the exposed inner workings.
In any case it's beaten to hell but somehow you and your team have somehow kept it chugging along and now command's ordered all units operating in your theatre to fall back to form a defensive line against the enemy offensive.

To anyone who owns the HG Zaku II Origin, can you guys give me some pics or comment on the waist articulation? namely the horizontal pivot and the forward lean?
I've been looking at Dalong, Schizo, and a couple other photoreview sites, and they've shown in in pretty good poses, but they don't really show the waist articulation in detail, just the limbs and the upper torso. I'd like to know how far it actually goes.

An adjustable heel is better than a flat foot. When a human walks they walk on the heel and toe areas, we don't slap our entire foot down because it's inefficient.

well hell, blog time, more /adv/ or /r9k/ than /m/ but i kinda want to get this out of my chest since i have no friends that can relate to this but you folks.
Don't read this post, ignore it, ban me, whatever. I just feel a need to write this out here regardless what other think about me. I'll even spoil the long ass text so you don't have to look and accidentally read it.
I just threw a major fit with my family because they were complaining about my hobbies and how it brings shame to mom and dad.
As expected of chinese family, every time they see me playing video games is like a regular parent spotting their child doing drugs and every time they see me building model kits is like their 25 years old only child playing with kiddies toys. Not to mention japanese toys for old folks raised under Mao Zedong's doctrine.
So i kinda snapped and begin throwing all my collection into their boxes, even damaging some along the way.
Yes, i'm 25 and still life with my parents, also yes, in that rage fit i threw everything i build since i was 10 into boxes, from the very special PG Zaku II i got in a christmas when i was 15 and snap built it with my bare hands in an all-nighter to my latest models that got featured lots of times on gunpla OP threads, (which i bought with my honorable and hard earned money, mind you).
So no more plamo, video-games and anime, no more 4chan until i move out to live on my own. (I seriously doubt i can quit them all until that)
welp fuck, writing out my angry is terapeutic, im so tired that i wont even bother to finish it nor reread my own writing. Maybe i should start writing a book instead of posting my blog on 4chan.
So yeah, good bye ya all, hopefully its one less burden for this thread. At very worse i managed to quit building models and will keep browsing 4chan. At very good ill be able to stop bringing shame to my family and spend my time and money to live out by myself.

finally got my package from e206. got my mazinkaiser resin kit. It's a good design, but I wish the kaiser scrander was more wide.

Where would you recommend the panel lines? I have Grey Black and Brown markers, I've done some with the brown maker but I don't think it shows up very well with my camera

DO NOT HANDBRUSH LACQUER PAINTS.
They are meant to be sprayed only, dry to quickly to level when brushed on, and will destroy your brush. This includes anything thinned with mr color leveling thinner.
