For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!

Try being specific, especially about your materials and process. Post pictures whenever possible; even if the kit/part looks bad, you are more likely to get help posting pictures.

Basically what this means is that rather than the mobile suit being fresh out of a factory, it's quite the opposite. Whether it's trudging through dense jungles or dodging debris in asteroid belts, your mobile suit has seen some better days.
You've been out in the field for quite a long time now, nearly half a year of active duty in the front lines and your personal mobile suit's pretty banged up. What's worse is the fact that there isn't a maintenance bay within several thousand kilometers of your local area that's capable of making any major repairs. Your unit's engineering crew has resorted to patch work and jury-rigging to keep your machine operational. Stray fire might have crippled its legs and arms or otherwise dealt considerable damage to a mobile suit's systems meanwhile some units have simply lost bits of armor and panels to the elements and have been forced to patch weld metal sheets over the exposed inner workings.
In any case it's beaten to hell but somehow you and your team have somehow kept it chugging along and now command's ordered all units operating in your theatre to fall back to form a defensive line against the enemy offensive.

For the last few days the Gunpla Generals have been getting plastered by an image spammer bringing threads to bump limit, basically making the thread useless at that point since most of the discussion comes from discussing and criticizing others work.
Now it's come to the point where the image spammer can post every minute and nearly cap a thread in under three hours. If it comes to the point where we have three Gunpla Generals in the top two pages then so be it. The sooner a janitor or mod comes in and deals with the issue the better.
Retoasting as well, since that thread's been bombed as fuck.
Question for you guys using Weathering Master. To seal with clear or not to seal? And if to seal, obviously it should be flat right?

i can suggest flat > weathering master > flat. being the flat base coat makes more grip to the weathering master

MGs might be better if the inner frame doesn't cripple. I've never built an MG so I don't know what that would do but scale seems more realistic. Even more on a PG, but fuck wasting 60 bucks on an experiment.

I've tried a few times at painting, but I'm just hitting walls. I am using Tamiya (gray) surface primer and handpainting with Tamiya acrylic paints. If I paint too thin, the color doesn't fully cover the gray primer color. If I paint a bit thicker, the parts start to fit less as well. Another problem I have is with the joints - the paints would just scratch if I try to move or repose. What am I doing wrong? Do I just have to forsaken Tamiya and go with expensive tiny bottle testors?

I was thinking of a knightly colour scheme like the SD Knight I posted but the blue I got was lighter than I expected.
So I scrapped the blue altogether and this was what I came up with. The lighter blue is still used on the green jewels. Could use some suggestions.

The green parts are a bit dark to colour them anything else, especially a lighter shade. I think you'd need to spray them a highly metallic blue.
As for the scheme... I think the silver will need to be a very bright, almost chrome colour since the red is quite dark and washed out. Not that I'm saying to brighten up the red, I mostly hate bright red used as a detail colour, it's tacky. I'd mainly shift the colours around on the chest so it looks like it's wearing a cuirass rather than a cowl and cummerbund. Here, I'll whip something up one sec...

Tried to match the colors you gave me.
The bright blue parts clash with with the rest MS because of it's darker color.
Light up but keep the metallic feel of the gold accent, it's supposed to be grant.
Personally i really like coloring parts 2 colors and tried to capture the feel of two layers of armor.
I dont really like one color heads and instead i added all of the colors Keeping black and ivory as a background i try to direct the attention to the center of the head.
That's just my opinion though.

For a cape you'd want to use the same (or similar) colour to the inner frame, a dark grey. Mainly because capes tend to look shadowy due to their soft shape, and bright colours (especially metallics) are very garish. Y'know, unless you want to go the whole nine yards and give it a patterned cape, you'd be a braver man than I.

Yeah, this seems alright to me. I think the head's a little busy but I fully understand not liking predominantly single-colour heads. Gunpla is freedom and all that. In retrospect having the thruster part on the back of the knee be white is pretty sweet, it gives the red parts the feeling of ancient hoplites' greaves.
