Star Driver was great fun, but it could have been turned into a 9/10 show with one simple change:

Whenever the Phase goes up, all of the cybodies get repaired, Tauburn included.

Suddenly, Tauburn can actually lose a fight, or even just be heavily damaged, without it being an instant show-ender. Indeed, he would almost certainly be outright defeated once or twice in the show, followed almost immediately by the Crux unlocking the next phase and reseting all of the Cybodies.

Now the fights actually feel like they could go either way, because the plot does not absolutely demand that every fight be a flawless victory in the Tauburn's favor.
