My guess is it'll be an excuse for the La Gias characters to end up in the Endless Frontier when they try going to Earth, where Kaguya happens to have a tree full to the brim with positive spirit energy.
There's plentiful other means in OG to travel to other worlds without needing the Crossgate there: Banpreios is one with XN Dimension, or Gilliam might finally see fit to rebuild XN Geist as his final upgrade since the circumstances have become dire enough that he needs its power. Hyperion is allegedly fast enough to just outright fly between planets, and they have the teleporters the Zuvorg use now so presumably they can also get the Zuvorg to lend them some not!fold boosters or whatever it is they use to travel to and from Earth. The Crossgate isn't a necessary plot element here.

Brachium's MD weapon set doesn't actually have Orgone Brachium Finish.
Brachium Slash now uses those beam knife things it had in concept art.
Brachium Raid is basically the old Brachium Slash.

After this the war was divided on two fronts, the Fed/Zeon space forces protecting the colonies and ABQ, while what little remained of Earths military fought off whatever landed, with mixed results. During a last, desperate push, the Earth sent Final Dancouga to confront Muge Zobaldos. The mission was a disaster, with the loss of over 90% of the combined Zeon/Federation space forces. The Dancouga Team did not return, leaving their final attack uncertain...
8 years later, the Earth Federation has provided funding to any who can provide the next generation of fighting machines. With the unexpexted appearance of the mimetic beasts a few years after the OYW, they were desperate to find a way to keep the Earth Sphere safe, since they had no idea of the next threat would come from.

The entire back of the robot is a gigantic heat sink because if it wasn't, the gun would melt from the heat generated. It needs a second pilot simply to micromanage power usage and it has a double attack with a battleship where it hooks the gun up to the ship's power grid and fires, causing a brownout all over the ship.

200 years ago, Earth was running low on natural resources, and war was as constant a threat as ever. A bunch of Earth's brightest and greatest minds got together to try to solve that, but at the conference, a second problem came up - specifically, the fact that humanity was in no way alone in the universe, and that eventually something would have to be done about potential hostilities. A couple of things came from this, it snowballed, and eventually, one hundred years after that, Earth and its colonies finally came to a full peace settlement - albeit one under constant internal threat from various terrorist groups, war hawks, and ne'er-do-wells. But for the most part it was all good.
Flash forward to now, and what do you fucking know, Earth is under attack by a goodly number of aliens. Not only that, but one or two of the colonies have rebelled, apparently backed by the Zanscare Empire, which believes itself to be highly slighted by humanity's current path and wants to gain control unlawfully.

I'm already doing that with FIRST.Granted that's because the sequel has Daitarn but it's still a full game with Zambot and no other Invincibles.
The thing about series choices here are that almost all of them have to in some way be owed to the 200 years ago thing.Celestial Being started that day, as did both Dancouga projects. Sandman was in attendance, and the Jin family was - this was when they got to Earth in the first place. It directly led to the initial creation of the Zoids, started the project that would lead to Diverland and the Top project - also Diverland in this was partly a way to manifest Cybodies somewhere not on their island without breaking the seal as well as its intended function - and of course it led to the treaty 100 years later which caused the Laplace Box thing and eventually worked its way to G Gundam.
So Zeorymer I'm not sure on. Mind, I haven't SEEN Zeorymer, so I can't really comment on it.

Well, Xenogears is fairly Fantasy in nature so some of these work. Rayearth and Granzort definitely fit to an extent,watch as the bunny people in Granzort are changed to be the same race as Chu-Chu.Fafner would be interesting but difficult since the Festum kind of destroy the world, and Tobikage and Datanious feel like it might as well since they come from outside Earth.
