Because of how numbering's been working this year and luck.
The spring crossover kept the shows current episode count meaning Ghost 24 and Zyuohger 7 aired separately rather than being a full on crossover like Gaim and Drive's where the episode count was put on hold.
So now we're at 49 Ghost episodes. Then Ghost managed to avoid not one but TWO golf skips that only hit Zyuohger.
So really due to luck Ghost hits 50, 49 if you consider the crossover episode to be worthless and it would have been 47 if not for avoiding golf.
Wizard is a completely different thing as its run flat out got extended by a month.

Watching Black right now, only 3 episodes in, but I'm enjoying it a fair bit.
I've only ever seen the Kouga-era Garo's in terms of live-action tokusatsu, so seeing something a fair bit older is really fun to watch.
My main enjoyment stems from the special effects themselves, seeing how they pull off some of the moves (i.e jumping up a tall building is just them actually jumping off but in reverse), the general theme of it (fighting for justice and to protect people, being a hero - love that stuff), and the instrumental version of the theme song that plays during the fights.
I'm not a plotfag or a seriousfag, but I am curious, which KR arguably has the best plot? I know it's most likely still going to be all MoTW fights and just men in costumes which is perfectly good, but which tune in for the next episode not just to see SFX laden fights and suits, but also to see what happens next?

Most Kamen Rider shows have great plots that extend around and beyond the shows themselves. The original, for example, has a lot of supplemental material that implies a lot of crazy shit's going on.

There are quite a few plot driven Heisei Rider series. Pretty much anything from Agito to Kabuto, aside from Hibiki, relies heavily on cliff hangers. Storywise, the ones that seem to be praised more often are Agito, Ryuki, Blade and Gaim.
Showa series are more episodic though. The
one that used cliff hangers most often was likely Stronger's 2nd half but even then it's mostly about the villains being set up from the start (and often interacting and antagonizing each other) while the hero goes surpassing them and taking them out one by one, not some kind of complex narrative.
Black itself does have a pretty solid narrative when they get to Shadow Moon, but that only starts in the mid 30s and there are still some breaks in between there.

And seeing as you paused before Hibiki, I always had this idea in my head for how you could adapt Hibiki after learning about the Vejigante from the culture in which part of my family comes from.
Hibiki's organization could be adapted to an organization of Natives from all across the Americas who protect the land's citizens from the supernatural wildlife the Natives are experts on.
All of the Riders of Hibiki could represent a Native American tribe, renamed after their respective tribe. One example being, say, Hibiki to Taino or Ibuki to Navajo. Each is tasked with a particular region of the Americas.
Vejigante derives partly from the word "giant", which I think would be a great tie to the show's encounters with actual giants. It could the replace the form name of "demon" since ogre and trolls are too heavily associated with other things in the west nowadays. It could also be played poetically, with the organization sending "giants" to fight giants. Finally, "giants" can have a metaphorically meaning, with the form these people achieve from their intense training makes the either feel like a giant or that they can take on a giant.
This picture made me crave starburst jelly beans, and I was really bummed because I couldn't find them anywhere. I was starting to think they weren't making them anymore, but I finally found some today, and now I'm happy.
