I loved it for giving me a brown heroine first and foremost. It was solid but definitely needed about 50 episodes to deal with the bloated plotlines they were tackling. Honestly wish we were getting a movie version of Captain Earth than stupid MJP.

Want to establish that two characters are friends? Rather than having them gravitate towards each other and act in the relaxed, comfortable manner that friends do, we'll have them say what good friends they are! Just take our word for it!
Of course this is going to be really forgettable. When the writers forget the creative writing 101 mantra of "show, don't tell", there's no substance for the audience to attach themselves to.
