Getter Dragon and your pictured Metal Beast Dragon always looked more villainous and somewhat more bad guy like to me I can't put my finger on why though its an okay design but I think I prefer Shin Getter

I like Dragon. It looks stocky and tough in ways that most renditions of Getter 1 don't.

It also introduced mecha to the badass arm-fold.
