Nah, Tiga's Sky Type form is blue but his main form that Orb pulls from is red and purple. Though it really can look more blue than purple depending on the lighting. Ultras that use more colors than red and blue might be few and far between but they're definitely out there and they're becoming increasingly more common.

One in a blue moon it is a fight, the only examples I can think of off hand are Ultra Zero Fight and Ultra Fight Victory, which were broken into three minute segments appended to the end of the clip show.

It's very exciting to think about where they're going to go next. Orb has already been confirmed for 25 episodes and then there's the Amazon spinoff. It's interesting to imagine Tsuburaya will focus solely on that while whatever replaces Orb airs but...I'm focusing on a quote from the director who said they moved to Saturday mornings because it can capture a wider kid audience. It was during the Planet Golgotha's 2-3 parters.
The Ultra Brothers investigate an Ultra sign (some sorta emergency call for Ultras) and traced it to that planet. And then they discover that it was a trap laid by the Yapoolians. What's worse is that while all the Ultras are trapped, Yapool sent a monster to Earth and cause chaos.
The brothers told Ace that they'll give him their powers enough to go back to Earth and stop that monster. Ace reluctant, saying that he won't abandon his brothers. Ultraman slapped him to sense saying that protecting Earth is his current duty and he has to do it. Ace then agree and was sent back to Earth to deal with the monster.
After that, Ace decides to go back to Planet Golgotha and save his brothers by using an interstellar rocket and when the rocket has reached its reach limit, he transforms to Ace and flies to Golgotha.
Slapping is a very typical solution in a lot of 70's show. It's pretty much machoism where if you see them in our current mindset, we think that they're dicks. But old Japanese share how they care by being harsh. It's good ol' Asian ethics.

It's not about Tsuburaya being cheap. It's about Tsuburaya being broke. Mebius' production put the company in the red and yet they still put out a fairly quality series that didn't bullshit its effects or rely too heavily on CG. They're doing better as of late but they still don't have the funds that Toei does.
