Yeah, if you're looking for "Kaijin that winds up becoming a Rider and a major character along with the human protagonists", then Hajime and Chase are the best examples I can think of.
The other examples you give either A.) aren't Riders themselves, or B.) are still (mostly) human.
Hell even Alain himself right now is a full human.

So the list of "non-human/kaijin characters that become Riders" is fairly small, but the list of "non-human/kaijin characters that defect and join the heroes' side" is much bigger.
Then we've also got a list of the reverse "Riders who start off human and end up becoming monsters by the end of the series".

Alain's arc has been the best thing about Ghost, imo. So much so that I think the show would've been better had he been the main protagonist. Not sure how they could pull off a main rider who starts out as evil, but I like the idea of everything that's happened helping him come to understand people, as well as what his heart desires.

You'd probably need a secondary introduced right off the bat that's good so that the kids have someone that's not a bad guy to root for until the main rider turns around, but I think a series where the title rider is on the villain's side at first would really be interesting. You have a bunch of ways to go at it too, with Kaijin Riders, good old brainwashing (both literal or through propaganda from birth, cyborgnization optional), or you could make up any number of reasons for working with the bad guys reluctantly.

Throughout the show, Alain, Onari, and Akari feel like the real protagonists.
Alain is dealing with the core of the problem. While I still have issues with the quality of the writing for things relevant to him, it's still leagues above Takeru and Makoto's stories. His interaction with Granny Fumi was great, and I wish the kind of writing for her character went more into Alain's actual family.
Onari and Akari are deep into dealing with Igor's bullshit. They step up to combat the monster group more than any civillian side character I've seen in Kamen Rider than wasn't a cop or trained fighter. Their character development has been great too. Recently that moment with Onari being a true Buddhist was great as was Akari's desire to feel that she can make an impact on the situation.
It almost feels like the head writer has developed favoritism towards certain characters. Hopefully Takeru can be saved with more backstory and exposition of his father's participation in this show's events.

It really does, since those three probably have the strongest characters in the show. Which is why I think the show would've been better with those three at its core. Takeru feels pointless, and Makoto's character feels like he works better with Alain's.

A real, real shame. I was a getting a little teary eyed during the first scene. I want to like this event. However like much of the rest of Ghost, the show gets something good going for it but fucks it up somehow.
It was a really, REALLY bad idea to split this in two scenes to make room for Necrom to participate in an action sequence he wasn't even necessarily required to be involved in. It should have gone like this

Alternatively, just psych the viewer out and end the entire thing on "She's asleep". That almost made me think it was a fake out. It upset me at first, but in retrospect that would have been a hilarious fake out with a great punchline. Still would have been better than how it actually ended up.

Kenzaki was better because his actor gave a relatively better performance despite the shaky start and he felt like a guy. An idealistic guy, but it comes off as just that and not this caricature that Takeru is.
Takeru for some reason made it his job to constantly drop quotes of lines you'd hear from a mentor character. Or a fortune cookie. That's why it's always so weird for me whenever I see that scene in Ghost's intro where Takeru was simply fucking with Akari and Onari using his ghost powers. It doesn't match. If he did stuff like that even with his current level of relevance to the plot, he'd be much better because he'd feel a little more human and not a spiritualist robot.
Overall Kenzaki is a better Takeru, or chronologically Takeru is a worse Kenzaki. Even if we just look at the number of Blade episodes up to the number Ghost currently has.

Shun isn't a great actor, but for a kid who's never had a major gig before, I think he's doing a fine job. I'm really surprised by the uptick in quality in this weeks episode. I've honestly only been watching Ghost out of a misplaced sense of loyalty to Rider for the past months but this episode was legitimately really great.

Gou's finale was the conclusion to his and Chase's character arcs, as well as redeeming him for all those times he was a shitlord.
Shinnosuke's finale was about his friendship with Heart and the message that everything the Roidmudes had done, they'd learned to do from us.
Takeru similarly got a bunch of character arc stuff in the teens and early 20s and now takes a backseat to let Makoto and Alain have some time, especially Makoto who badly needs it after such a long absence.
Takeru still has some character growth during this part, but he's mostly being defined in the 20s by his frustration. He's incredibly pissed at Adel and the Ganma in general but has no idea how to actually beat them. Kicking them in the face doesn't work because they keep coming back, making wishes on the Eyecons has stopped working entirely, and now Grateful doesn't always work correctly either. You'd be pissed too.
