Come to think of it, Hagane no Houkou said that the guy who used magic fire to help turn the armor gold was a precursor to Makai Priests, which means they didn't predate the Knights, but Sigma's dialog and Ago's backstory suggest otherwise.

Rekka's episode was weirdly fanservice and something we've seen before.
I liked Jinga's episode to a degree, but the "moeblob" Amelie was kinda cringeworthy and those archetypes just annoy me.
Mayuri half episode was just something we've seen before.
Sure I found the plot of Goldstorm absolutely droll, and GnT was even worse and it feels like GARO has had a massive downwards spiral I was just hoping that Retsuden was better than it actually is; it's better than GnT but still not good enough to wow me.

That fucking guy I love him so much, to me he's only second to Barago. The dynamic between him and Raikou was very interesting as both were the exact opposite of each other: one is the brigtest light and wants to save them all and the other is the darkest darkness that wants everyone to be engulfed by it, both were very stubborn about it too. It was only until they realised they have a bit of the other in themselves that balance could come to them, hell, that even served as Raikou's trial of inner shadows but instead of gaining a mount he went from lost soul to tsubasabito.
To me GnT was like pic related, a jewel hidden under thick layers of shit writting.

Every live action series tries to keep their armor summons within the time limit normally, even if it doesn't show the counter going back. But if they need to apparently extend the limit for whatever production reason, they all do so eventually. The point is that they won't keep an eye on it unless it becomes plot relevant. Short armor summons is one of GARO's characteristics anyway. The anime is actually similar, but they take more freedom with this, considering that they don't even tell you a fixed time limit even when it became relevant to the plot.

I think as far as the anime is concerned, it's less a hard time limit and more about the Knight's stamina. If they're just standing around and doing small stuff, they could stay armored for a long time, but if they're fighting hard and getting emotionally heated, they need to finish things quickly.
