The Tomytecs are 1/100 scale and don't transform. They're part forming kits that come completely pre-painted. All those details you see? The kit will already have them out of the box. The Bandai 1/72 kits are fully transformable but will need stickers/decals to get all the markings.

pretty much except for 'twin engine twin vertical stabilisers' thing it's a different plane altogether. VF-31A does have overall shape of VF-24 Evolution when looked from above but that's it.
If 25 is Sukhoi, this is more of...well, Pak-fa and other last gen planes. there is no direct comparison to real life designs here.

I've been aware of Macross since the early 90s, thanks to my parents importing VHS tapes of shows that they thought were similar to Ultraman and while I didn't really dive in properly until the early 00s, I've at least been aware of the singing element and never had a problem with it.
