Anybody bored enough to play along with a little time-waster to go along with my SRC Dungeon & Gatcha obsession? Just pick a leader from what SRC Dungeon offers (being Great Mazinger, Neo Getter (2 less initial Gatcha), Gundam F91, Shining Gundam, Dunbine, Dragonar Team (2 less Gatcha), Exkaiser, Optimus Prime, Kyosuke & Excellen (1 less Gatcha), Psybuster, Gawain, Ultraman the Strike Witches MC, the Macross, and the Elshank) and then let me roll the Gatcha and see what team you have to lead into battle.

It's times like this when I think up dumb stuff like this that I feel like that Gatcha-obsessed girl from those Fate-related pics that get posted here and there.

Imagine SRW1 if it was made now and had so many units that you had a gatcha to organize them all. That's SRC Dungeon in a nutshell, or rather this particular version of it. There's a pastebin up top for it so if your curious feel free to give it a whirl or two, it's a fun time waster.

Round 2. You really have to wonder about RNG that gives you the same exact parts on a second run out of hundreds of possibilities, don't you?

>>14148283
Think something like the original SRW in style, where you choose a single leader from a list, then the rest of your 30-stage run consists of in-stage recruitments based on RNG (which you can buy parts to influence) and a Gatcha, which you can also spend money to get extra rolls of, when usually you get one per stage completion, or three after every fifth stage after 10. Plus chances for freebies while rolling Gatcha.

Do you feel that's better or worse than when you don't use RNG-affecting parts and you can't finish something you really would like to finish?

I really love having finished Getters on my teams, but the RNG keeps wanting to only give me unrelated series, I wanted to mash Toei Getter 1 with New Getter 2 and the third part of Getter Go and call it a day.

>>
>>14148334
This is why I use these parts, since they're dirt cheap, I can buy an infinite amount and still have plenty of money left over, and not doing it is the most infuriating thing in the world. The last time I did that, I swear I had one part of every single combining mech in the game and it was...unpleasant.

>I wanted to mash Toei Getter 1 with New Getter 2 and the third part of Getter Go and call it a day.

>>
>>14148342
Mix-and-match Getters should be a thing, at least in some silly fanart, since stuff like TTGL Optimus Prime has fanart after all.

Though it's more honest to say I'm more often wishing I could smack the Daikessen and Neo Getters together, those seem to be the ones that I get the most, with New a close second.
>>
Can you do that thing in Daikessen where you can combine with only 2 Getter Machines in SRC?

There probably is, but I always seem to get the same ones - or is that just cognitive bias?

Like - for some reason I almost always spawn a part of Dolgaia and also specifically Yuri's component from Dancouga BURN in my games.

Finally, some more women to play with.
It's getting pretty old jumping around and having to clear whole maps with 2 unupgraded side machines every goddamn stage.

At this point I am considering ignoring the main character mechs altogether even if I can switch into them, keep kicking me off for their special forced event bullshit anyway. Might as well sink money into the things I'll actually get to use.
Not really gonna do that, I'm just kinda mad at this jumping around crap.

That photo's like 2-3 years ago. Quite frankly, from his appearance in TGS last year, he doesn't look that much different than that picture.

Lets see what we rolled here...

>Victory Gundam
>8th MS Team
>Golion
>Lost Universe
>L-Gaim
>Geppy-X
>Hexamoon Guardians
>Iczer-1
>Albegas
>Rajin-oh

You know, if there was like 3 or more series that would count as more "traditional" this might pass as a semi-convincing fake list. Speaking of Lost Universe though, we really need an all battleship series in a mainline game eventually. Something like Yamamoto Yohko or Yamato. I feel like it's time.

>>14148516
Where were you? I'm at 25-1 in Chapter 6.

That said, considering PPSSPP 1.2.2 has only been out for a very small amount of time, I doubt it.
>>
>>14148498
I used to like putting together the cast list in the database after my SRC run would get to stage 30 and see what the list ended up looking like. I enjoyed that the RNG ended up making some rather bizarre-looking lists that would make for interesting SRW games. It's another of the reasons I hope the guy behind it eventually updates with a new version that contains a few more series worth of units; I'm sure there's plenty more old and new stuff to draw from somehow.

I also think that with a little work, the concept behind SRC Dungeon could make for a decent experimental SRW game. Done right it could at least have a better reception than the last DLC-based game, of which Matt is currently torturing himself with.

The Quarter is overall the best battleship of the main three. It hits the hardest, has the best MAPs, tanks the hardest, has the best abilities, and it has the best spirits amongst the most pilots. Even if it didn't have Sing it'd be the flat out best battleship for most of the game, Sing just propels it into obscene territory.

(The Ultrasaurus is apparently not that bad though, so that's nice. Especially since the Gravity Cannon is ANTI GROUND on top of its large range and massive power - albeit, you don't start with it, it unlocks later in Chapter 7 because OE hates you. Also no Hot Blood because of fucking course, but still. It has Zoid Core too, which is great for something with its amount of HP.)

>>
>>14148709
To be fair in PxZ2's case you can spread your units around if you know about it ahead of time.
>>
>>14148719
You can't here. You need to go balls out because some of the enemies start in range of the tower and the others can all walk there on their turn (and will do so automatically), and it doesn't take hits well, so your force ends up either 90 degrees off of the enemy force or 100. Fortunately, I had Gosaurer and New Getter Team nearby, so they could run over and smack a few idiots around, but I know there's more coming and no matter what happens I'll be off-position for them.

You can't spread units thin in Neo or OE, if they get separated and the enemies surround them they die. Me knowing that is being good.

I beat the stage anyway, mostly due to crazy spirit spam and lots of very powerful MAPs boosted by high levels of Hot Blood, but for not having infinite reinforcements that stage made me do far too much to finish it.

The anima and animus, in Carl Jung's school of analytical psychology, are the two primary anthropomorphic archetypes of the unconscious mind, as opposed to both the theriomorphic and inferior function of the shadow archetypes, as well as the abstract symbol sets that formulate the archetype of the Self. The anima and animus are described by Jung as elements of his theory of the collective unconscious, a domain of the unconscious that transcends the personal psyche. In the unconscious of a man, this archetype finds expression as a feminine inner personality: anima; equivalently, in the unconscious of a woman it is expressed as a masculine inner personality: animus.

The anima and animus can be identified as the totality of the unconscious feminine psychological qualities that a man possesses or the masculine ones possessed by a woman, respectively. It is an archetype of the collective unconscious and not an aggregate of father or mother, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, or teachers, though these aspects of the personal unconscious can influence the person for good or ill.

Because a male's sensitivity is often lesser or repressed, the anima is one of the most significant autonomous complexes of all. It is said to manifest itself by appearing in dreams. It also influences a man's interactions with women and his attitudes toward them and vice versa for women and the animus. Jung said that "the encounter with the shadow is the 'apprentice-piece' in the individual's development...that with the anima is the 'masterpiece'".[1] Jung viewed the anima process as being one of the sources of creative ability.

In the book The Invisible Partners it is said that the key to controlling one's anima/animus is to recognize it when it manifests and exercise our ability to discern the anima/animus from reality.[2]
>>
>>14148910
Of course, you can't get a new PV if you keep on touching yourself.
>>
>>14148888
Jung focused more on the man's anima and wrote less about the woman's animus. Jung believed that every woman has an analogous animus within her psyche, this being a set of unconscious masculine attributes and potentials. He viewed the animus as being more complex than the anima, postulating that women have a host of animus images whereas the male anima consists only of one dominant image. Jung stated that there are four parallel levels of animus development in a woman. The animus "first appears as a personification of mere physical power - for instance as an athletic champion or muscle man, such as 'the fictional jungle hero Tarzan'". In the next phase, the animus "possesses initiative and the capacity for planned action...the romantic man - the 19th century British poet Shelley; or the man of action - America's Ernest Hemingway, war hero, hunter, etc." In the third phase "the animus becomes the word, often appearing as a professor or clergyman...the bearer of the word - Lloyd George, the great political orator". "Finally, in his fourth manifestation, the animus is the incarnation of meaning. On this highest level he becomes (like the anima) a mediator of...spiritual profundity".[6] Jung noted that "in mythology, this aspect of the animus appears as Hermes, messenger of the gods; in dreams he is a helpful guide." Like Sophia, this is the highest level of mediation between the unconscious and conscious mind.[citation needed]

The Turner has more movement and better support options than White Base, and doesn't instantly burn through its entire EN pool.

It certainly has its rather massive share of issues, but I'd rank the Turner above WB.
>>
>>14148888
The four roles are not identical with genders reversed. Jung believed that while the anima tended to appear as a relatively singular female personality, the animus may consist of a conjunction of multiple male personalities: "in this way the unconscious symbolizes the fact that the animus represents a collective rather than a personal element".[7]

The process of animus development deals with cultivating an independent and non-socially subjugated idea of self by embodying a deeper word (as per a specific existential outlook) and manifesting this word. To clarify, this does not mean that a female subject becomes more set in her ways (as this word is steeped in emotionality, subjectivity, and a dynamism just as a well-developed anima is) but that she is more internally aware of what she believes and feels, and is more capable of expressing these beliefs and feelings. Thus the "animus in his most developed form sometimes...make[s] her even more receptive than a man to new creative ideas".[8]

Both final stages of animus and anima development have dynamic qualities (related to the motion and flux of this continual developmental process), open-ended qualities (there is no static perfected ideal or manifestation of the quality in question), and pluralistic qualities (which transcend the need for a singular image, as any subject or object can contain multiple archetypes or even seemingly antithetical roles). They also form bridges to the next archetypal figures to emerge, as "the unconscious again changes its dominant character and appears in a new symbolic form, representing the Self".[9] - the archetypes of the Wise Old Woman/Man
>>
>>14148888
Jungians warned that "every personification of the unconscious - the shadow, the anima, the animus, and the Self - has both a light and a dark aspect....the anima and animus have dual aspects: They can bring life-giving development and creativeness to the personality, or they can cause petrification and physical death".[10]

One danger was of what Jung termed "invasion" of the conscious by the unconscious archetype - "Possession caused by the anima...bad taste: the anima surrounds herself with inferior people".[11] Jung insisted that "a state of anima possession...must be prevented. The anima is thereby forced into the inner world, where she functions as the medium between the ego and the unconscious, as does the persona between the ego and the environment".[12]

Alternatively, over-awareness of the anima or animus could provide a premature conclusion to the individuation process - "a kind of psychological short-circuit, to identify the animus at least provisionally with wholeness".[13] Instead of being "content with an intermediate position", the animus seeks to usurp "the self, with which the patient's animus identifies. This identification is a regular occurrence when the shadow, the dark side, has not been sufficiently realized".[13]

There's nothing wrong with the translation. It's a real word.

The MAP is garbage anyway. Low power, short range, non-P, and overpriced like the rest of White Base's attacks.

Turner does take more damage, but honestly, if you let a non-Quarter battleship close enough to the front lines that it takes more than one or two hits, you're doing something wrong. And the Turner is actually able to stay a decent distance away from combat thanks to its non-shit attack ranges.

The ranslator is someone with an inadequate grasp of English who managed to get their hands on a thesaurus and anyone defending this incoherent gibberish is clearly someone who has problems understanding English, let alone Japanese. A kataki is a Japanese concept which is why Japanese-English dictionaries have problems giving a proper translation and have wildly inaccurate approximations instead (google just gave me "enmity" which is absolutely wrong), but anyone with a decent grasp of the language should know what it means (target of reprisal for vengeance) because it's a really fucking common word. The expression "like the kataki of your parents" is an everyday phrase. It's impossible to be actually fluent in the language and not know what it means. The translator clearly had to have to rely on a fucking Japanese-English dictionary which gave them nonsense like "enmity", and then ran it through a thesaurus to cover up how it doesn't make any fucking sense.

tl;dr the translator isn't fluent in Japanese and the dumbfuck defending the "translation" is beyond retarded

But anyway if one ACTUALLY knows what "kataki" means which is something anyone with an even rudimentary grasp of the language should, it's bloody trivial to just reword the line to work. "And the perpetrator of this massacre was... AL-VAN".

Seriously though. "And the animus of our comrades... AL-VAN"

I can sort of understand how a translator puzzled over the word would just give up and submit this rubbish and figure that if it gets approved it's the problem of the ones who approved it. But I cannot even begin to understand the mentality of the drooling retards claiming that it's "accurate".

But can the animus of our comrades take full possession of the apotheosised triangles of Solomon?
>>
>>14149669
Only if the animus is a time diver.

I don't think you're supposed to drink the whole bottle at once.

The Heralds of the Elemental Lords (MasouKishin) are the major protagonists of the MasouKishin saga of Super Robot Wars, taking place in the subterranean world "La Gias". Each of the Herald's machines are blessed by the spirits dwelling in La Gias, assisting them in combat. With the exception of Masaki Andoh, the Heralds first appeared in Super Robot Wars EX, with The Lord of Elemental Part 1 detailing how each of them arrived to La Gias and earned the right to pilot an Elemental Lord. "Full Possession" mode; each Elemental Lord is built with a "Laplace Computer" that allows the Herald to temporarily call upon the spirit of the Elemental Lord for increased power and abilities. This lasts for a brief moment, as the mode not only drain's the Herald's prana, but can potentially kill them. In Revelation of Evil God, Masaki makes contact with Cyfis and masters Full Possession, allowing the Cybuster to transform into "Cyfis Cybuster" for a few minutes. Likewise, Yang Long ends up mastering his own Full Possession in Pride of Justice; depending on the route taken in the game, either Tytti, Mio or Elan Zenosakis will learn their own Full Possession. By Coffin of the End, all have access to Full Possession with little to no restrictions.

Guys, guys, I get it. Animus is the name of the final boss of MD. It was in front of us all the time and we thought all the time it was just a meme translation

So here's Duke revealing that he was around for the entire Muge invasion but didn't feel like fighting them. What a fucking dick.

Oh, and Erika actually got a line in Maria's introduction scene, when Sayaka takes him away. It's not much, but I guess they're acknowledging that Kouji has kind of a harem now.

Oh yeah, Cecily is my first character to get double movement. She's been awesome the whole game despite being in the unupgraded Vigna all this time. I'm finally going to space now so the high-end Mobile Suits will start coming, I might give her something better. She earned it.
>>
>>14149779
Does she have Soul yet, or no? I know she gets it, but I don't remember at what level.
>>
>>14149779
Her hair looks so nice.

ERIKAAA-wait, wrong one.

Cecily's hair is a thing of beauty.

I'm up and bored enough to offer last night's little game again. Just pick a lead unit from SRC Dungeon's list (being Great Mazinger, Neo Getter (2 less initial Gatcha), Gundam F91, Shining Gundam, Dunbine, Dragonar Team (2 less Gatcha), Exkaiser, Optimus Prime, Kyosuke & Excellen (1 less Gatcha), Psybuster, Gawain, Ultraman the Strike Witches MC, the Macross, and the Elshank) and let me roll the Gatcha, snap a pic, and see what kind of team you have to lead into battle.

Can't you stick her in the F91?
>>

I'll choose Mr Stake and his Excellent Waifu.
>>
>>14149780
My only character with Soul so far is Galaria. I didn't know Cecily gets it, that's awesome.

>>14149858
I did at first, but I soon put Roux in it because she has Luck, so I could make more money killing bosses. For some reason the early game has a lot of bosses that retreat at low HP, it stop having so many after a while.
What I'm probably gonna do is move Roux into either the ZZ or the Nu once I get them, and then put Cecily back in the F91.

Have been out of the loop with SRW since Z3.2.
Is Moon Dwellers the only new srw on the way? I'm really hoping for a new mainstream series for the PS4 to be announced soon.

No one cares about shitty main series games when BB Studio can't make games to save their lives.

OG and DS games are better.

I'm still holding on to the hope that BB studios will get their shit together and produce quality mainstream games.
I'm giving it one last chance until I choose the path of despair, anon.
>>
>>14149907
You should just stick to handheld games, like I do.

Yeah, AI know how to make entertaining games at least.

Same with TOSE. I would like another crossover SRW by TOSE but if I had to choose between that and them doing more OG I prefer OG.

I'm at Linebarrels manga chapter 105 where they're
about to fight nanomachine Abraham Lincoln and I'm wondering up to what part of SRW UX does it cover the linebarrel part? I just watched a video that they fought Deus Ex Machina which in the manga was just Koichi and it having a shining finger fight and then disappearing

Well, this took a while to accomplish.

Just like 2, maybe 3 more missions and I can release a demo version...
