For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, dont make the new people worry!

Opinions on the color scheme, please?
Plan on recoloring MG 00 Quanta.
The frame I will probably leave unpainted. I want to maintain dark gray and green.
I wanted to avoid red, but no other color seemed to work for the chin and below the eyes, so I added red to the chest fin to go along with it.
The light gray (of the armor, not the joints) I plan on going flat silver.
Thoughts?

I think I'll keep dark gray for the shield, though.
Also, having dark green on the legs but not the arms seemed unbalanced so I made the right arm cover dark green too.
With this scheme, dark gray for the face parts mentioned before doesn't seem so bad.
If anyone has other ideas/criticism, I'm open.

So here's my IBO collection so far. I still gotta get off my lazy ass and finish painting the Kutan-III. These are the first real gunpla I've actually put decent effort into, that wasn't just panel lining my little sister's RG's.Now to start getting more Barbatos to make the whole family.
Debating trying to start a Wing MG collection. I'm fairly new to Gunpla, and pretty bad at it, and want to buy my favourite suit - does the MG Wing Zero Custom require any painting?
The base colours seem okay from what I can tell. Tallgeese 1 might need some painting if I were to get it.

I've built sandrock, tallgeese and wing zero custom mg. No painting required unless you want to use the pen for panel lining. Pic related, yes I know my bar needs dusting.

MG one doesn't need any painting. But the color scheme is based on the new Glory of the Losers, not the TV. So they have slightly different color schemes. GoL's Tallgeese has a lot more white.
Most of the MG stuff now looks great out of the box. You might have to touch some stuff up, panel line. My Shenlong and Tallgeese II required some minor painting but I bet a lot of people don't add those details.

I was looking at a few of his videos, and it seems like he does a lot of painting on his kits, so I wasn't sure if they were representative of what they look like or not. That explains why Tallgeese looks different though, I'm not very familiar with the GoL designs.
Glad to know that most MGs don't need paint jobs, but I think I should probably learn how to do so anyway. Might pick up a cheap Zaku or something to ruin horribly.

I actually thinned it out a lot, and applied a ton of layers since it was white on a gray base. Same problem I guess. Might just have to strip it and prime it white then. I'll have to do that to the other dino saws I do too. That and the 5th Form Space's Schwalbe engines.

Pick up some thinner. If you use Tamiya acrylics you can use Mr. Leveling Thinner to both thin it and retard the drying time, making brush strikes less evident. Your ideal is multiple very thin coats, and acrylics tend to chip, so make sure you use a topcoat after you're happy with what you've got.

That other anon is right, and Vallejo is easily the best for handpainting, but I only have access to Tamiya, so that's what I'm using. Don't thin it straight in the bottle, that's not gonna end well. Just use a paint spoon/toothpick/pipette and get a few drops of paint into a mixing cup, then add in drops of thinner from another pipette. The exact ratio is largely trial and error, so just practice on spoons or your test kits until you get it right.

Yep. Add in a clearcoat to protect each layer before you do weathering/details, and it should be fine. Just don't get discouraged it shit doesn't work the first time, as it probably won't. Keep practicing, and it eventually will.

Hi there. A little while ago I posted about building my first gunpla; Guncannon. I'm new so my nubs are kinda apparent and there are some scratches, beyond what's in the guide is there anything I should be trying for my next build?

If you want to practice, get a Zaku, GM, an SD, or a Hi-Mock, because they're all inexpensive. Otherwise just look for a suit you'll like.

In one of the Dome-G things they paired a red Delta Gundam with the Z3, so you could either hunt down the official GFT kit or just paint the regular HGUC red. Or just go with the Zero Shiki as another anon suggested; Hyaku Shiki/Delta Gundam variants should pair well, or possibly even another Zeta Gundam variant.
It's hard to add the Z3 into an Amuro/Char collection though, since the Z3 doesn't really have a proper Char-suit counterpart, Doing the collection in 1/144 gives you more choices in what to pair the Z3 with, but the only 1/144 Dijeh that exists is the old Zeta NG, which I know from personal experience can be hard to find without paying gouged scalper prices. The RE/100 Dijeh is readily available, but you have less variety in finding a counterpart for the Z3.

I built this Tallgeese II awhile ago, but decided to go back and add orange to the head. I really like it, and I guess it's more show accurate.

Thanks. I was planning to paint the bulky square lines on the arms dark grey, switch the thrusters and the grenades to all be gold/bronze like on a thunderbolt kit, and finally try my hand at a mirror finish on the shield after mask painting the lightning pattern. Thoughts on that?
I don't have an airbrush so full kit painting isn't really an option I feel.

Alright people, just got through talking to the mods, here's the word.
The mods are happy to keep pruning the image spammer for his bullshit because he's breaking a rule, snapshit doesn't go until we can give them enough proof that he's cancer not only to this general, but to the entire board.

It's a little sketchy. The thing is based off of the Gundam Mk V. It has mega particle cannons, a shit ton of beam cannons and twice as many missiles, INCOM, you name it. The Doven Wolf is a monster. Jewdough beat it though so as long as you have teamwork plot hax it's reasonable to assume you could take one out with those suits.

Well, regardless of the enemy MS I pick:The Striker pilot would obviously die first. Sniper is the rookie, but he's pretty damn good at making opponents go where he wants them. Custom pilot is muh grizzled veteran. Hazel pilot is some hothead that got paired with an aging Gundam, or something, but he's cool with that because he thinks it looks slick as hell.
