How are the mecha from escaflowne gundams?
>>14043559
Wait then do they pronounce names like buchanan "bu-chan-on"
How do they pronounce gouf then?
>>14043563
But transformers are also gundams. Look at Optimus Primes head, it looks like a GM
>>14043587
Your right anon but age mechas look a lot more like transformers than other shows.
GM just looks 80s.
>>14040251
Postan in epic thread
>>14043563
>How are the mecha from escaflowne gundams?
Escaflownium is identical to Gundanium on a molecular level, they just call it different things like wolfram and tungsten.

>>14040251
I pronounce Mecha the average way but when I'd alone sometimes I pronounce it "Me-cha" as in the way anon just described it for shits & giggles so I pronounce it both ways just one with a less serious tone.

I usually pronounce mecha as "Extremitätsgetriebenes Sonderkraftfahrzeug für Zivil- und Kampfanwendung"
>>14046806
I don't know about hungry, but I'm pretty thirsty. However, I can only be satisfied by robots. Therein lies the rub.

>I pronounce "mecha" where the "ch" is the same as it is in the world "chair."
I bet your the type of idiot that pronounces GIF like "JIF".
>>14040251
wtf
I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as a Mech, is in fact, メカニカル, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Mecha. Mecha is not a genre unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning concept made manifest by the existence of vehicles, military equipment and of course, robots, comprising a full concept as defined by MAHQ.
Many posters use a modified definition of the メカニカル term every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of メカニカル which is widely used today is often called Mech, and many of its posters are not aware that it is basically the Robotech term, developed by Harmony Gold.
So unless refering to Battletech/Robotech you should call any giant robot, "Mecha".

>I bet your the type of idiot that pronounces GIF like "JIF".
This isn't wrong though.
>>14057626
It's still retarded. Creators can go shove it.

Where is the rule that says acronyms have to be pronounced like their parent words?
