After finishing Neon Genesis Evangelion (again), first season of Code Geassand over a hundred episodes of Fist of the North Star, I've noticed that my anime intake has been rather strongly in the depressing vein lately, and could use some recommendations for more upbeat and flippant shows to cheer me up, preferrably something that isn't too long (plus I've already seen Xabungle and Daitarn 3).
I already got Space Dandy lined up, but I could still use some additional suggestions.

>>14029826
After War Gundam X
>>14029835
Yeah, sure it is.
...cause I'm up to the final episode of that, too.
Texhnolyze is sort of /m/, though not discussed often because it's more based around cybernetics instead of mecha. But hey, if we have mahou shitto then we can have this. Highly rec'd even if it does get a little tense at times.
Have fun, OP!

Megas XLR
Samurai Flamenco
Escaflowne
Teyandee or J-Decker maybe?
>>14029835
Uso! Genki!
>>14029848
Well all joking aside, watch Turn-A if you haven't gotten around to it yet. Good comfy /m/ show.
Alternatively, Gargantia

Dai-Guard

Bodacious Space Pirates.

>>14029826
Aim For the Ace! is /m/.
>>14030473
>The movie still hasn't been ripped for people outside Japan yet
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK ME
It won't win any awards for originality but it was entertaining.
Iron Leaguer might do the trick (though you'll have to either go on Bakabt or Silver Castle's YT account to get most of the episodes/scripts).

Sky Girls and Strike Witches are also very fun watches if you've been watching depressing stuff lately, nothing bad ever happens to the witches...They just become cakes and lose all their powers.
Read Yokohama Kaidashi Kiko if you want some serenity.
Venus Project Climax was gleefully stupid and short enough that it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Girls compete to be the top idol singer by idoling at each other which somehow makes robot fights happen.
The robot fights are often animated in tradition 2d QUALITY.
>>14030356
Not necessarily. See >>14029846.
>>14030370
Yeah Kill La Kill for sure. Check out Build Fighters too
>>14029826

>>14030823

It's /m/ in spirit.
>>14030674
Seconding this. Also watch some Azumanga Daioh, it's comfy as fuck.
>>14030843
But it isn't a mecha show.
If some guy made a series about 4 cute girls piloting robots at school and said he was inspired by K-on. Does that make K-on a mecha show? No.
>>14030852
>Does that make K-on a mecha show? No.
K-on can be whatever it wants to be

This. Whatever you're planning to watch, bump this to the top of the list.
