I wasn't really a fan of Decade both as a character and as a design at first, but Tsukasa as a whole really grew on me. It helps that Masa went balls deep playing him and still fondly holds on to the role to this day.
Decade's design is really something special. The magenta and white pop in all the right ways against the black and he's got just the right amount of bulk to his armor.

One thing I noticed with the release of the Shinkocho Decade figure is how incredibly expressive Takaiwa was when playing him. And how it all fits so well with Tsukasa, thanks to his larger-than-life acting style.
Decade is one of the few Riders who could actually sit like this and look perfectly natural while doing it.

Yeah, but you have to admit, it's not hard to see why soccer moms would have an issue with some of this stuff. Rider finishers all have an inherent flaw in that it requires the target to stay motionless for a couple seconds for them to work. I mean, most of them are flying jump kicks from a fair distance away. Given the physical aptitudes of the monsters, all they'd really need to do to not get killed is roll over to the side. Especially in recent years where they need to fiddle with their doohickeys first before they pull it off. Almost every single finisher is basically a one-sided execution.

Gaim's only "experimental" element as far as the toyline goes was bringing back a large number of Riders.
As far as the show itself goes, even the more serial storytelling had to wait for them to finish the first arc, which was fairly episodic. It also had about as much action as other recent Rider series, rather than going back to early Heisei style where there was generally only one battle per episode (aside from a previous' episode battle ending in the beginning of the new episode).

I was thinking of showing the Kamen Rider Amazons trailer and discussing it in an upcoming podcast - does anyone think I would be better off to get my friends to watch a smaller portion of a few different Kamen riders or should I just power through and have them keep watching ghost? The wrestling section of the podcast is a bit less structured and a bit more historical focussed so maybe I should try to mirror it a bit more. Just want to know what people would find interesting.

That has to do with IBO's heroes slaughtering enemy soldiers before they have time to react instead of challenging them to an honorable samurai duel like a good Jap should. Aside from completely losing the tone of Kouta's original question, Tv-Nihon also messed up the question itself there. They completely ignored the あの (He was actually asking about -that- Kamen Rider they had just seen, not about Riders in general), and also the movie's own context, given by Kouta's very next line - Kouta was annoyed by Hongo saying that he didn't acknowledge him as a Kamen Rider, which only makes sense if he already knew what was a Kamen Rider.
Just because their translations are stiff it doesn't mean that they're accurate.
