Indeed, but do give the text translation a try if you're interested. I did all I could to make it as non-intrusive and easy to navigate as possible. I think it's quite usable, though I didn't get a whole lot of feedback on it.
I would have loved to make a patch, but I just don't know how. I searched high and low for tools that could allow me to extract and re-insert the script, but apparently none exist for this game engine. I had faint hopes that maybe somebody with the proper skills might take an interest in doing it, but the only person who ever did was Tinfoil from TLwiki and he gave up on it pretty quickly.

Honestly, it's probably a little better than what you're thinking. At the very least there was real effort to actually integrate the Gundam setting and create a story that could have happened behind the scenes, it's not just used as a random backdrop. The writer was surely a Gundam fan to begin with and/or did a lot of research on it. Though I'm pretty sure that the main reason this thing exists is because somebody watched 0083 and thought the Anaheim uniforms were really hot.

Dang. This thread made me want to give another go at maybe figuring out how to make a patch, and this time I actually found tools for unpacking games made in this same engine on some forum that Google turned up, but they don't seem to work for this particular game. I know it wasn't error on my part because I tested with the game that forum's thread was actually about, and it unpacked just fine.
Guess there's really no way I can do this myself, after all.
