So why is there little to no info about the manga sequel to G Gundam? Is it really that bad? I mean, judging from the art alone, which is... what, two pics on the Gundam Wiki... it looks pretty fucking forgettable, if not outright terrible.
>>13993759
because /m/ thinks Comic Bombom material is pure kiddy shit and not /m/ enough for them to read
>>13993759
I'm more surprised there is so little info regarding the 7th Fight manga considering it's Master Asia's backstory, like is there even any RAWs available for it?
Because nobody gives a shit about non-animated Gundam stuff. Even the really big ones (Crossbone, Beltorchika's Children/Hathaway's Flash, Glory of Losers/Frozen Teardrop) get cursory discussion among super devoted fans at most.
Hell even The Origin barely gets discussed. Nobody here has the attention span for literature.
People can watch anime thanks to subs, but 99% of the people here can't be bothered to learn Japanese to a level high enough they can sit down and read.
You may as well ask why there isn't a repository of translated Gundam manuals even though those are absolutely huge sources of information. MG Shining, God, and Master have these huge manuals talking all about their backstories and specs, but none of it is on the wiki.

There's raws of the Chinese translation
http://tw.seemh.com/comic/5148/49384.html
I don't like it personally because it's a mediocre manga and it changes Master Asia from a crazy Chinaman to a boring Japanese-guy-turned-Chinese.
Hmmm.
Rain: "It's kinda lame, desu."

Who did he evaporate? Why were they so close to an Acguy fight?
>>13993950
Rain, cause she was saying it was lame

>Gundam spin off manga which is sortve like Star Wars EU paperbacks but with even less effort
>literature
stop
I agree about the Origin though
>>13993853
>nobody gives a shit about non-animated Gundam stuff
Except Nozaku. It's amazing that he takes it all upon himself to translate what isn't picked by someone else, since there's so much of it (good and bad).

My moon recently got good enough to read manga without any problems. I'm very excited to find out G Gundam has a sequel manga. I will certainly try to track a copy down.If it's as good as the show, I'll even consider translating it.

They're the equivalent of doujinshi. Well, not literally. But they have no status as a Banrise affiliated project

Heh

Kinda bizarre with me, I hate almost any Gundam anime and fucking love gundam manga, must be because I hate newtype bullshit and love low-ranking soldiers.
We are Federation Hooligans is the best gundam for me.

I just finished reading that a couple of days ago.
That ending sure was...
Gundam Manga is about as niche as you can get. Gundam started as an animation so that will always receive the most attention. Most fans start with the animation as well since most of the manga/novels assume that you are familiar with the anime and lore.
Groups like Dynamic Pro Scanlations are a blessing for mecha manga.
The opposite could be said for the big magical girl shows like Sailor Moon and Card Captors. Those are adaptions and many people started with the anime. You see zero discussion of the the Card Captors manga on /a/ even though the anime is so well loved.

It doesn't help that the very first Gundam manga, 0079's tie-in, was complete shit...

Look at the fear in Ral's eyes.

The manga was cancelled on the page right after this ridiculous scene.

The artstyle kinda reminds me of early 80s Ken Ishikawa.

The artist was Go Nagai's assistant.
