Kiba would have been infinitely better if they had dropped the cape whenever it went into battle.
Cape looks baller as fuck when he is just standing there talking and looking menacingly, but during battle it gives away how little motion there is in those choreographies. Like for example when Kiba and Bado were charging at each other and the camera did that matrix circling thing, the cape is clinging to Kiba's legs instead of fluttering behind him even though Kiba's supposed to be still dashing at that point.

Guren no Tsuki is easily the worst season of Garo. Yamitera had a lot of problems but shit, it at least felt like it was trying and had some legitmately good scenes and fights, Guren no Tsuki has nothing

Every episode it just gets worse and I'm reminded of how much better HnK and the others were. This episode was messy and rushed as fuck, they tried jamming in as much as they could now because they somehow fucked up the writing and pacing for the previous 20 episodes. Raikou is a fucking mess of a character, one dimensional, flat and completely lacks any sort of outstanding personality traits. He's so fucking bad compared to Leon, German, Kouga and Rei. He's a non-character. The supporting cast is bullshit as well, filled with unlikable pieces of cardboard.
The story is pretty much non-existant shit, they only started trying to develop it properly in the last 2 - 3 episodes and they failed pathetically.
The MoTW episodes before that were so terrible and forgetful in themselves I cannot tell you what happened in the first part of the show. Not a single memorable standalone episode at all.
The animation is about ten steps down from HnK as well, it's pathetic. The setting is under-utilised as fuck. It's Heian Japan or something but almost 90% of the show has taken place in the same two streets with blank walls and bland colours, the rest in "palaces".
At least we're getting Retsuden, that Zero series and Divine Flame.
I really shouldnt be this offended about an anime given that i've seen about 10,000 episodes worth of anime, but I am. And I'm going to finish it because i'm a completionist autist

It's kinda hard to do that. They're very opposite in terms of writing approaches: Inoue's very spur of the moment, he likes twists and surprises that are shit he comes up with on the spot, whereas Aikawa plans absolutely everything from first episode to last. A good example of this that is airing this April is ConRevo.

Bernado was different from Barago. Barago let his armor consume him and as a result it was transformed from soulmetal into deathmetal. Bernado on the other hand is just a horror who is still wearing his armor.

Uh, decent episode I guess? I can't help but feel that Rudra comes across as a really shitty big bad. In all of her screentime she has completely failed to acomplish anything noteworthy as a villain, and got her ass kicked in every single direct confrontation she's had

I loved the MotW stories so much that the lack of story honestly didn't bother me that much. Helps that the cast bounce off each other pretty well.
