Also, I just noticed that in this scan Takeru summons Robin Hood and Goemon to fight Al Capone. Robin and Goemon stole from the rich and gave to the poor, while Al Capone was called 'The Modern Day Robin Hood' for donating money to various charities. Some serious meta game going on right now. /ssg/ always talks baout how the last 5 or 6 Sentai shows have shit ratings that get worse and worse but the toy sales are through the roof.
Has Kamen Rider ever gone through that sort of issue or is it currently happening?

People will say Ghost is failing but they also Drive and Gaim were failing. Truth is the ratings are on a steady incline since Kiva and the lowest they go are still higher than Kiva. Before that, there was Hibiki, and before that, there was Super-1, and then before that was Amazon.

I thought Drive had really good bi-weekly cases, and overall decent pacing. Mach was introduced pretty early, all of the side characters got their own personal set of episodes to flesh them out more, and the cases mostly did a good job of carrying out the series' themes. My only real problem was the lack of time all three riders spent together, which could have been solved had they not spent all that time brainwashing Chase twice.

So, I've watched Drive, W, Fourze and Kyoryuger...
I like Riku Sanjo's work, but as far as toku goes he's not very good at writing romance, is he? The Tomari and Kiriko stuff in Drive was alright, so I guess he's improved but it kind of came out of nowhere in the other three.

Decade's been strong, VE not so much. His only attack it all is a square combo stopping right before the knock down into a O, cancelling out before the O combo completes, the repeating to infinitely juggle enemies. Cards aren't worth using in the slightest and the rocket launcher is a waste of your time.
At least with normal Decade you can go into Blade or Hibiki for major damage on top of ranged or combo potential and the square is excellent paired up with those form changes. Complete Form is also really good for the damage and if you're far enough away you can BLAST forever for crazy amounts of damage.

The Next Decade
- Tsukasa travels around the multiverse by himself. He's depressed and probably suicidal because all his freinds are gone. No Natsuki because I doubt they'd get her back. No Yuusuke because he's not Heisei Phase 2.
- Arrives in World of W. Runs into Shocker Rider - a Rider that looks like a sleeker, more evil version of Decade Violent Emotion. It has AttackRide cards that let it use monster attacks from all the TV shows.
- Decade's belt gets destroyed and his cards stop working. Tsukasa is about to get killed, but AR Kamen Rider Double LunaMetal barely saves his ass.
- Injured Tsukasa taken back to the Narumi Detective Agency. Meets Shotaro and Agatha. Shotaro is basically the same character. Agatha is a female version of Philip, but her speciality is that she can tap into, repair and manipulate technology with her magic gaia powers or whatever the fuck. Also, she repairs Decade's belt with W Gaia Memory technology so it's new and can be sold to Japanese kids and white neckbeards. And she upgrades his basic AttackRide cards.
- Agatha is basically how Tsukasa gets new FormRide, AttackRide, FinalFormRide cards, etc. But her quirk is that she can't always match the FormRide and FinalFormRide cards to the AU Riders - they always come out like the original TV show Riders. The AR Riders they run into, generally, have different form changes to the shows (AR OOO's base form is not TaToBa. AR Gaim has Orange Arms as base, but Mango and Durian as form changes, etc.)
- Also, the Narumi Detective Agency is the home base and how they travel between worlds.
- Also, Agatha is the adopted daughter of Soukichi Narumi. She's, personality-wise, a tolerable middle ground between Philip and Akiko. There's a dark secret behind her past that'll come up later in the show. I haven't figured out what it is. I'll let Toshiki Inoue write those episodes.

- AR Shotaro is in a funk because his boss Soukichi Narumi disappeared months ago. And he's only recently taken up the mantle of being the body of Double, but he's got doubt and he's afraid of using his boss' Memory because he's doesn't think he can handle it.
- Long story short, the new Shocker is called Hyper Shocker and they want to take over Fuuto with Shocker Memories, Shocker Rider is really brainwashed Soukichi Narumi and he lives to fight another day, Shotaro finds his resolve to use his boss' Memory and he and Agatha transform into AR Double's true base form - CycloneAccel, Tsukasa makes a speech and transforms into Kamen Rider Next Decade and uses FinalFormRide Double Double (CycloneCyclone and AccelAccel) to beat a bunch of Shocker Dopants.
- They go onto the World of Drive because it's another Riku Sanjo show.
- Shocker Rider appears as a recurring antagonist.
- AR Double's other main form is NascaJoker, but that comes up later.
- Rinse and repeat for 30-40 more episodes.
- Diend is still Diend, but he gets an upgraded Driver that can use Heisei Phase 2 Riders. Also, he gets New Complete Form in this show. Also, his DX toy isn't shit.
- There's a World of ZX. Shun Sugata as Ryo Murasame appears in a few episodes.
- There's a World of V3. AR V3 is another brainwashed antagonist Kamen Rider with a more modernised design. Gackt Riderman from the original movies comes from this world and appears in a two-parter.

Eh, the only similarity is that at some point the show ends up involving the characters facing each other for a prize, but everything around that is different.
In Ryuki, the death game is the main premise, while in Gaim it's a twist introduced halfway through.
In Ryuki, there are the 4 main Riders that stay continuously throughout multiple story arcs in the show, while every other Rider appears from nowhere for one arc and they're killed right there or in the very next arc, with a New Rider introduction only coming afterwards. In Gaim, all Riders are part of the main cast, most of them characters introduced in the first 10 episodes, and stay in the show from then on until they're killed or lose their belts.
Ryuki has nothing like Yggdrazil or even Helheim Overlords (survivors from a destroyed civilization of a past game).

So I just watched All Riders vs. Dai Shocker for the first and hopefully only time. That's a strong contender for worst rider movie ever made. Definitely the worst summer movie I've seen so far, and I've seen the Gaim Soccer movie, so that's saying something.

The Gaim movie is outright bad. They put the most effort into a completely pointless action sequence and had the final villain just get beaten up by the main Rider once he used his power ups (even Kachidoki was beating him up). The whole thing just makes me ask "why".
