Personal thing really. I feel it makes such experiences better.
It usually doesn't present any problems, except for when I want do do something like read the original Tetsujin 28 manga, or watch the first Tetsujin anime, before watching the Imagawa anime.

I did. I enjoyed it and thought it was a pretty good example of how to properly reboot a show in an entertaining way.

Honestly I think anyone who watches 2199 without watching anything prior is going to miss out on a lot. A good part of the ride depends on nostalgia.

Not yet. I accidentally downloaded a non-english sub. My plan is to watch the other shit from my backlog that I've downloaded (Namely Patlabor, and the LoGH Prequel OVAs) before I download anything else.

Well, my first favorite waifu was Lum. But yeah, I guess you could say Yuki was one of if not the originals.

It's a pretty good design. I'm so mad it doesn't have a full 1/1000 scale model. If Bandai made one for the Zoelguut-class, then they can do one for the second-largest ship in the show.

Should be sometime within the next 1-2 years. We got a confirmation they've started pre-production sometime near the end of last year. With any luck, we'll get an official announcement before the end of 2016.

And recently they released a new ship called the Kuroshio. It seems to be a mix between UNCN and EDF aesthetics. Possibly an interim design?
