You know, I really wouldn't mind a remake of Vifam
Or another series of Vifam
Or just more Vifam in general
There's Infinite Ryvius.
I think their story has been told as well as it could be. I wouldn't be against more 'kids in space' shows though. That last one I can remember is Stellvia of the Universe.
There is an unsubbed follow-up show, although its reputation is supposedly sketchy.

>I wouldn't be against more 'kids in space' shows though. That last one I can remember is Stellvia of the Universe.
On a related note, Wakusei Planet Survive more or less fits the bill.
>>13728452
Saw it already
>>13728457
>I wouldn't be against more 'kids in space' shows though.
Then I want another kids in space show
>>13728436
>I really wouldn't mind a remake of Vifam
We got it in the 90s. I saw a RAW of the first couple of episodes, it was absolutely horrible. It's like ab absolutely pointless interquel.
>>13728466
The show is called Planet Planet Survive?
>>13731234
It should be Mujin Wakusei / Uninhabited Planet Survive.
Yo this show is actually not shit
>>13745410
Damn straight.
DOMO, VIFAM DESU
Is vifam worth watching?
I have been considering it, but i wasn't sure about it
>>13745410
Why do you think I want more of it?
>>13748020
>Is vifam worth watching?
YES
thanks for helping me discover this, i'm already liking more than anything Gundam
>WIPE AWAY
Hello, I am Vifam
If it wasn't for ketsu i'd give it a 10/10
>>13749695
Kentsu is a great character. He starts out annoying as shit yeah, but by the end of the series, he's a full on battle commander in his own right
>>13749289
Hello Vifam. Your number is seven. Instrument recorder on?
>>13751081
Permission to sortie
>>13749695
>hating on the best character in the entire show
>>13752039
Permission denied.
>>13752089
Bad ruck, Vifam 7
>>13752120
Literally the best OTP of the show
Post more Sharon
I'm honestly afraid the whole "kids: IN SPAAAACE" thing would get really ducking annoying.
Please tell me there is a dub?
>>13752576
>I'm honestly afraid the whole "kids: IN SPAAAACE" thing would get really ducking annoying.
It doesn't
>Please tell me there is a dub?
No
>>13752621
Sure why not?
Greetings!
>>13752621
To be fair, the show's original outline (Two Years' Vacation in space) was going to be used for Gundam 0079. Funny how the show still hasn't made it in SRW despite this.
>>13752621
I remember seeing this for the first time and I immediately thought that Vifam was in the same universe as the Gundam UC timeline...heh.
funny enough, if I recall correctly I think one of the kids was watching TV and Amuro Ray shows up on the screen while they're browsing through the channels
Good stuff.
>>13755130
Do you happen to have this ripped?
>>13755164
I do have a link to an old version I ripped, but I'll edit and upload a better version now that I know how to reduce some unwanted noises and remove the 60 Hz hum
It's getting late where I live right now, but I'll post it here tomorrow
>>13755196
BOSS
>>13752053
I'm not sure I'd say best, but Kentsu DOES turn pretty fucking awesome as the show goes on.Not gonna lie, his reaction when Jimmy leaves without saying goodbye got to me a little. Nozawa did a great job with the role.
>>13728436
>Vifam lead to Infinite Ryshitius which lead to vulvarave
So really THIS is the curse of mecha?
>>13755130
>>13756313
And of course, the Millenium Falcon.
>>13756316
How did I miss this?
>>13756261
One of the insert songs, I forgot which but it repeats "Kimi wa" something a lot, gets me every time ;-;
>>13752621
Plus the mechs are called Mobile Suits.
If a Vifam remake or sequel was made now, it would be shit, and you know it. The things that made Vifam good are things that modern anime just doesn't do anymore.
>>13758995
What? No they aren't
>>13758995
Hate to be the that guy but they are called Round Vernians. 'Cause they're round and covered in Verniers.
How is Vifam 13? Judging from the op it looks like it has a higher budget, but i can't find it anywhere.
>>13759030
I haven't seen a legit "kids in space" (and I mean actual kids like in this show, not teens) show in forever. I still would want to see what it would be like
>>13759030
Vifam's original character designer is also dead, along with the TV series director...;_;
Is this the show with the canon /ss/?
>>13766874
Technically, yes.
>>13766812
Considering how Vifam 13 fared without Kanda on its own, I would dread about who would succeed Ashida. On a side note, I hope Galatt is good enough to translate. It's the only Kanda show bar Dragonar to not be subbed right (never mind whatever else Ashida did designs for).
>Vifam smut by Manabe
what a day
what a lovely day
>>13785685
Why is Scott such a porn addict?
Twitter is doing a group watch of this series if you're into that thing.
Vifam - A Summary
kinda unrelated but I could've sworn i heard the voice actor of Roddy Shuffle voicing a background character in an episode of L-Gaim
Best cast chemistry ever. I have no idea why it isn't talked about here more.
>>13816091
It seems since everyone more or less likes it, and it's not highly controversial in any way, no really feel likes there is much to discuss.
Can't spell Vifam without senpai
I don't remember how I found this pic. I guess it's from pixiv, but I don't remember downloading it.
>>13816091
The people who've seen it already have and it's pretty much good on all fronts
Though personally I think it started slowing down when they reached the alien planet compared to when they were in space and the ending is total OVA bait
>>13829474
My fucking sides
You have done well today, wordfilter
>>13832921
It's engaging but it's not like there's ever any big mystery to Kuktonians (what a name). Mueller is also such an afterthought/something they probably thought a mecha needs to have. The near-ending shines with some select episodes like 45 (Katue and Jimmy leaving).
>>13842118
While it's eventually explained, there was the mystery of that Monolith for a while.
>>13842118
Not as much of an afterthought as that one enemy general who got introduced and killed in the same episode (late in the series, no less). Seriously, what was the point behind that.
>>13832921
>OVA bait
Don't even remind me of the sequel OVA. It was so god damn bad.
>>13797869
Coconna?
>>13748020
si
>>13848564
What is the source of this card? The English is pretty good for 80s.
>>13728436
why not just read the lord of flies? I mean I know it's not sci fi but can't hurt to get some culture
>>13853190
Infinite Ryvius is the Lord of the flies in space.
>>13853190
Vifam is based on Two Years' Vacation, though.
>>13853190
SUCKS TO YOUR ASSMAR PIGGY
