for me, it's Doctor K in RPM.
I haven't been into PR since I watched RPM. Saw a few episodes of Samurai but wasn't digging it and just stayed exclusively Sentai for a while. I heard Dino Charge's theme song and it rocked my fucking socks off in a way I haven't felt since SPD. I also hear the reception to this is way better compared to the last two series. So is it really worth it?

Check out the first episode. It's a great set up for the next 20. And it's pretty much makes you decide wabout how you feel about them.
I personally think that, while not the 'greatest season ever', DC is a good season. Rangers are all likeable, villains have a great dynamic and action is great (thanks to Sakamoto's work on Kyoryuger).

I loved ToQGer, but I did not want to see it as a two year PR season. It'd be harder to take those costumes seriously in PR, plus train culture doesn't really exist in America. If they made it really badass a la RPM, I'd be interested in seeing that, but they're really focusing on the younger kid demographic, so that would be a pipe dream.

What he meant is that back when Saban first got the contract there was a cause in it that said they had to use the footage for each Sentai season and weren't allowed to skip using footage for them.
The only reason they're skipping now is because of both Toei telling them to (because despite Go-Busters being awesome, it had mediocre ratings and bad toy sales, although that doesn't work with ToQger because Ninninger has had abysmal ratings and sales, far worse than Go-Busters) and that because of Nick's retarded scheduling they're forced to stretch one show out over two years, so the longer they go the more out of date the footage becomes.

I've been digging the Dino Charge line since I'm a poorfag and missed out on Kyoryu's, but man are the Megazord toys fun. Might have to pick up some gundam markers or something to replace the missing paint apps, though. Are the 5in figures any good?

You know if this was two years ago, I'd be saying no, but after Super Megaforce was so lazy, they put in the effort to make new footage of Sentai only suits, just so they could use that stock footage, all bets are off.
For what it's worth, they didn't use Kamen Rider Decade in Samurai, and Jiraiya isn't Super Sentai either so they might actually not be able to use it, but honestly who knows.
I'd be more interested if they brought back Pua Magasiva, an actor who is in New Zealand, for the Kakuranger/Hurricanger episodes.
For anyone who has watched more Ninninger, how often do they use those two Shuriken anyhow? From what I saw, if need be, they could just edit out every occurrence of the Kakuranger/Hurricanger Shuriken, since they didn't seem that vital to the story, and weren't that prolific in the footage.

Anyone kinda miffed at the gewun focus of Saban with the film and comic. I get why they are doing it, but choosing nostalgiabux over doing something actually creative seems cheap.
An original team, an epic space opera using Zordo era lore, Hexagon, a big epic crossover, adapting new sentai teams, or a TF vs Gi Joe style artpop remix.
Instead we get what, half a year of a Green Ranger arc and then more retelling of Mmpr? How cynical.
I hope its good and it stitches together the Zordon era stuff into a new whole in a way the shows didn't but still wish this wasn't so shameless.
