However, the show is a little bit different from Toei. They did not used the same camera type during the shots and they also tried to use chroma key and computer graphics in the very beginning of the technology, in 1987-1988.
The good: good actors, futuristic police theme, NO MECHS, just hightech cops x cyborg criminal syndicate. However, it's less farfetched than Super Sentai series. Nice soundtrack too. Add some time travel shit to put some mistery and you got Cybercops. It's the same vibe as Winspector/Solbrain, but came 2-3 years early.
The bad: effects are shittier than Toei's shows.
If you survive then, you can aprecciate a very good show.

For a rookie show with low budget (even for a sentai) + many problems with effects (betamax was a disaster for post-producers), Cybercops had a very good production: they counterbalanced it with a nice plot and avoided those typical points from Toei: no "color names", no mechs (they used 1 bike and 1 toyota 4x4), no magical henshin (they need to dress the suit), no magical enemies (they were cyborgs or controlled machines) and no use of suit actors (all actors were from JAE). They did even the songs...

There's also a big rivalry between the red and the green one, something like Ryu and Gai in Jetman. Same thing around the red and the future fifth white member (Lucifer): it's like Tyrano and Dragon ranger in Zyuranger. In essence, it's a controversial team - and that's good.
In general, even with those effect troubles, it was a pretty solid show. Too sad the actor of the green suit (Shogo Shiotani) commited suicide in 2002.

Usually they do a practice take helmetless to get the timing down and then they pop them on and try to get the scene shot as quickly as possible. That BTS footage from Jeff Pruitt with Dairanger is pretty good to see the whole process. I also remember there was a 45-60 minute documentary about a suit actor on NHK World a few years back. They followed him as he was shooting for the Den-O/Decade movie and he was playing Shirubara or however it's spelt.

Man I just watched Ninninger summer movie and boy it was dookie rocks. Sakamoto set the bar too high with Kyoryuger because I haven't watched it since 2 years ago and I still remember how entertaining their summer movie was.
During the Kyoryu intro credits the clips from the film got you so hyped up to see it and the previews after the end credits looked even better. Ninnin summer movie was just another run of the mill time burner in my opinion.
Sentai and toku in general needs Sakamoto back he's already proven himself when it comes to making hit summer movies. His rider and sentai productions speak for themselves I'm not over hyping his work.
Gobus VS Kyoryu, Gaburincho of Music, Gaia Memories of Fate, Eternal, Megamax, Ultimatum were all top notch excitement. Sentai is not meant to be dull. I hope hope hope we get him for Jyuuouger we probably won't but im hoping.
