Silver Titanus is a remold of the Titanus toy for Space. Rumor has it if Countdown to Destruction was three episodes it would make an appearance with the Phantom Ranger.
The six Titanus beneath were proposed designs for Titanus for MMPR season 3.
Bottom left in red is the Mobile Armor Vehicle from Lightspeed Rescue.
On the right the Tyrannosaur looking one is the Samurai Zord. A Dragon Zord redesign for MMPR season 2.

The issue with that episode is that it says that Sentai is based on Power Rangers, rather than the other way around.
Really, if they wanted to an episode like that, they should have played it out as the Dino Thunder cast ending up in another dimension and then spying the Sentai footage from a distance before going back home. That'd avoid the whole "Sentai is a Japanese show based on Power Rangers" thing.

Kira even says later on "See? We're not so different after all Just a slightly different interpretation." The Abaranger in that episode is Power Rangers and the lesson is that you can do something different from the same material and still be cool.
Connor even acts as the Sentai purist, saying "They got it all wrong!" for the entire episode and grilling it on its eccentricities before finally coming around and acknowledging that the show they were watching actually got to be kind of awesome.
I never knew why this episode has the history of having people think it's actually purporting that Sentai is based on Power Rangers. It's like these people never watched an episode of South Park in their lives and can only take plot elements like that at literal face value.

The disney era shows have many original plotlines in general too, Mystic Force even drops the family theme for anyone except red.

I've found the more vehicle-like the zords are, the further PR strays from Sentai.
Wild Force, Samurai and Jungle Fury are a lot like Gaoranger, Shinkenger and Gekiranger.
In Space, Lost Galaxy and RPM are not very much like Megaranger, Gingaman and Go-onger.

Too many to count. Mainly because in Italy they usually release the first wave of Zords and figures and then nothing until next series kicks in. To say:
We never had Zord releases for Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive and RPM (this one was actually skipped when it aired first and the show was dubbed in the hiatus between Super Samurai and Megaforce).
When Super Samurai came out we got the Bullzord with inside the instructions for the Gigazord, except we never saw Octozord and Clawzord in stores during the Samurai toyline.
The Megaforce release was even more screwed up. The jets to make the Gosei Ultimate and the card game were never released, yet they aired ads for them on TV.
One year later, we got Legendary Megazord with nothing else to combine it with.
Now Dino Charge Megazord came at least with Raptor and Para Zords, that's something.

So, I'm watching Lightspeed Rescue for the first time, and holy crap, I'm only a few episodes in, but I fucking love it. I really enjoy how much time per episode is spent on the Rangers rescuing civilians. It actually seems to me like it was influenced by shows like Thunderbirds (the 60s puppet show), which I know was pretty popular in Japan. Also, the theme song is kickass.
I hope the quality is consistent for the rest of the season.

Honestly, Kyoryu's story is kinda crap. Remember Greenzilla from the final Dino Charge episode? That was the basic form of the final boss. Yes, it was around episode 20. And kinda killed the stakes when dude came back because:
a) he was 'defeated master that needs to be awakened' type in the first place. These work only with a very good writing
b) They already kicked his ass. Sure, he isn't a crazy beast anymore, but he already was defeated twice.
The characters are (mostly) great though. And action is pretty good.

That's... The exact opposite of the problem.
The majority of the first season was spent stalling until the second, and when they finally get to it, it's meaningless because it's no more dire than the previous invasion! They literally spend five minutes dealing with the city getting blasted to hell, then they're back to school like nothing happened by the end of the Super Megaforce premiere.
Then to add insult to injury, only a handful of the episodic plots were really fun, which is kind of important if you're doing an episodic series with a plot in the background. Finally you have the production seemingly tanking everything on purpose, and it's painfully obvious the series was doomed from the start.

A-Squad turning evil, not because of mind control, or being rused into it, but because they wanted to and freely chose to, is the strongest narrative point of the season.
In fact, when Bridge scans them at the beginning of the season and senses something off about them, not only is it great foreshadowing, but when you look back on it, they hadn't even met Grumm at that point. They were most likely on the take already, just from people the plot didn't give a shit about because they weren't at Grumm-tier importance.
They're dirty cops, and that's way better than having them just be The People Who Are Better Than You.
It's also a fresher take on what TVTropes calls "Hero's Evil Predecessor", i.e. Shinobu Sensui in YYH, Ginjo Kugo as a tribute to him in Bleach, Black Adam in Captain Marvel stories, because the bad guys didn't go bad and rebel before the start of the story, and then we meet them after they've been bad for a while. They go bad and rebel within the story after having been idolized as these great heroes of justice. Or maybe it's not fresh, because we've already had Thaal Sinestro in Green Lantern stories.

Are you new? That's pretty normal for sentai and PR. Heck, in Jetman, one of the better regarded sentai shows, only two of the 5 rangers are relevant (well, Kaori is, but just as an excuse for Gai and Ryu to fight over).

In both of those though, the villains had transformed forms that they used most of the time in combat. They could easily even have outright cut their human forms completely if they had wished to do so.
