Yeah, but that's kind of a given considering there really were two camps: you were either for or against humanity.
With Gaim, it was every man for himself and that kind of setting makes it harder for different people to have a concise general idea of how they feel about the cast. Another example is Ryuki, that has a similar style and besides the two main riders, Kitaoka and Asakura, no one cares much about the rest of the cast to the point where there is no consistency in "reports" of which are likable or not.
It's harder for people to feel people playing against each other are equally likable. Not impossible, as the current season of Fargo shows.

this minisaga in Drive would have been much more enjoyable if the actor didn't do such an over the top performance. There's Nicolas Cage kind of enjoyable level, there's "it's toku so don't expect great acting" level (though I think several actors in Drive did a pretty good job) and then there's this motherfucker. Possibly one of the worst toku shows. Like, they try to make it into either a comedy, serious drama or super hero show and fail miserably at all. The action is just reduced to like one fight per episode that's too cgi heavy, the drama is generic Inoue shit that pretends to be mature because SEX but plays out like a fanfic and the comedy fails because its japanese.
