Just, pic related happens right on the next second, so Soushi's got problems of his own to worry about, like his own hand getting assimilation crystals.

According to the Japanese wiki Sein can grow crystal arm blades as a secret weapon in the PSP game. I didn't get them when I played through it though, so I can't confirm it. There's also apparently an alternate route where you keep Mark Elf and get the chest beam from concept art as a new finisher.
I'm still hoping that Maya gets a super version of the chest beam as her SDP. It would be a shame if it never gets used in the series proper.

CR just shits out scripts.
There seems to be little quality control.
I get the impression that most of the translations are just from text scripts by random translators that know nothing about the series.
They rely on their translation helper software's list of technical terms and names and there is no consistency of using the same translator for every episode of a series.
