Always wanted to get into this franchise. Which games are worth playing? Should I start with 1 or the NDS remake? Which ones are even translated?

They are all good. For legal, front mission 3 on vita. For piracy, the two on ps2 with pcsx, 5 was translated. I played the ds one for a little bit, but I didn't get far enough to feel like it was better than the new ones.
