>>

Thanks.

>>14292957
With the anime each one is it's own little universe. I personally suggest New Getter Robo since it helps you get the gist of the franchise.

For manga, read in publication order.
>>
>>14292858
So, at the end of Go, was Shin Getter absorbing everything and forming that giant arm supposed to be Getter Emporer taking shape for the first time?
>>
>>14292957
Start with the manga series. Reading order is
Orignal > G > Go > Shin > Arc

>>14292970
Not specifically, but it is later confirmed that Emperor was born from Mars so you can probably interpret it that way.
>>
>>14292977
>Start with the manga series. Reading order is
>Orignal > G > Go > Shin > Arc
That's the order provided in the Getter Saga compilation that Ishikawa made before his untimely demise. So basically it's:
Getter Saga 1 > Getter Saga 2 > Getter Saga 3 > Getter Saga 4 > Getter Saga 5.
>>
>>14292957
Read all of Ishikawa's Getter Robo Saga in the order that he compiled it before his death:

Getter Robo (both original and G) > Getter Robo Go > Shin Getter Robo > Getter Robo Arc

Then watch whatever you fucking watch because it doesn't matter what order it's in: they all based off of the same source material anyways.
>>
>>14292984
Well, that's wrong for two reasons. The first is that doesn't help newcomers know what series to read. The second is that there are multiple volumes in each part of Getter Robo Saga, so the ordering for it is actually like this
Getter Robo Saga 1 - 2 (Getter Robo)
Getter Robo Saga 3 (Getter Robo G)
Getter Robo Saga 4 - 6 (Getter Robo Go)
Getter Robo Saga 7 (Shin Getter Robo)
Getter Robo Saga 8 - 9 (Getter Robo Arc)
>>
>>14292994
Well the point is that the Getter Robo Saga is now it's own thing with it's own volumes.

Which is why they outright say Getter Robo Saga; it basically listed the order for you.

>Well the point is that the Getter Robo Saga is now it's own thing with it's own volumes.
What I posted is the numbering than Getter Robo Saga goes by. Besides, the Saga edition of Go isn't scanned so new readers can't really go by that numbering anyway, not to mention all of the manga reading sites list them as separate series. Going by the saga numbering doesn't help anyone.
>>
>>14293012
Just say the one we got is part of Getter Saga and leave it at that; what difference does it makes anyways.
>>
>>14293020
>what difference does it makes anyways
Again, the whole point is to let new readers know what order to read the series in. Your method would not help them whatsoever for a number of reasons. End of story.
>>
>>14293021
That's the point Just say read them in the order that Getter Saga Compiled it in.

Also, Publication order doesn't cut anyways since Getter Saga hand picked chapters form Ishikawas Getter mangas (especially Shin Getter Robo, since it never got it's stand alone volumes before the compilation).
>>
>>14293030
As I already pointed it out in >>14292992

It should let them know what order the original author intended them to be read.
>>
>>14293030
>That's the point Just say read them in the order that Getter Saga Compiled it in.
It's like you haven't read a single one of my posts. Here's why that doesn't work for newcomers
>downloads and manga reading sites list them as separate series
>saga version of Go is missing so once they get past volume 3 they will be confused
>even the getter saga books list the part title before the saga numbering

>Publication order doesn't cut anyways since
That doesn't matter because the non-saga version aren't scanlated

This is my last response to you. You can get the last word if you feel that strongly about it, but anyone reading this will see that I have laid out a logical argument and will naturally take my side because it is right and any newcomers will find that my posts are helpful while yours are not. Good day, chap.
>>
>>14293041
Actually I agree with you, since it's the same damn order of which these series should be read. The problem is why they should read it in that order to begin with.

When I say Getter Robo Saga, I meant the order that Ishikawa himself compiled each of the manga series he made before his unexpected death. I didn't mean the compilation itself since, like you said, the Go portion was never been scanlated to begin with. How ever the publication order is misleading since this is a compilation after all, especially with the Shin portion.

So in general Read it the way Ishikawa compiled it:

Getter > G > Go > Shin > Arc

Then you can read any other manga/anime you want (or that's available since most of you can't read Japanese).

As for the rest of the manga, only the anthology got fully scanlated: but if you want to help scanlate the rest of them, then use this http://pastebin.com/dyTYhmMP (note that it's only up to Apocryphal, Dino Getter can be obtain at Dynamic's Website).
>>
>>14293071
All I think he's saying is posts like
>Getter Saga 1 > Getter Saga 2 > Getter Saga 3 > Getter Saga 4 > Getter Saga 5.
are going to be useless for people trying to get into the series they'll have no idea which is which.
>>
>>14293085
Well, my bad anyways.

Still read them the way Ishikawa intended:
Getter > G > Go > Shin > Arc.

If you can't see why that's important, then there's no hope for you. Then again, just look at your English proficiency.
>>
>>14294543

Getterfags have been the same for years. There's about 3 or 4 of them at most. This is how the illusion this is a series worth talking about came through. The very few fans it has were incredibly loud and obnoxious. Newcomers are very unlikely to show up at this point.

Arc is pretty cool, although the white spikes coming out of the back are a bit weird.
>>
>>14295153

Except for the ones that show up all the time, but let's just ignore those, since they would ruin your "argument". And it most certainly is a series worth talking about, just somewhat hard to do when you have shitposters on both sides interfering.
>>
>>14295192

If by pretty cool you mean putting Devilman ears on Shin Getter.
>>
>>14295202

How can you tell those are not the same shitposters in search of an excuse to shitpost even more?

>>14295208
That is cool yes.

Except for the part where it looks extremely different from Shin, but whatever you say.

Just like Armageddon Shin looks nothing like Shin vs Neo or Manga Shin, right?
>>

The fact that you have to resort to such obvious exaggeration in the face of something that anybody can see is quite saddening.
