Thanks. I still have some books to finish, and after reading them I'll go to the library and probably borrow Buddenbrooks because they don't have Death in Venice. What about his short stories?

Doctor Faustus too, also classical music theory and aesthetics in general. When I read Dr.F, I didn't know anything about the latter two, but I enjoyed the book nevertheless.
