The first edition of Hypersphere is done:

https://www.scribd.com/doc/293930007/Hypersphere

Read it now to be able to tell your grandchildren (imaginary or otherwise) how you were one of the first to read the fourth entry in the meme quadrilogy.

Physical copies available!

As of now, my life is complete.

Also - I hereby announce this to be the death of literature and literary sense. No literature is literally needed after this bad boy. It has everything and nothing at the same time. It is the perfect static and a cultural mashup of everything. It is the dankest sphere known to man. The Hypersphere!
>>
First of all:
Thank you for this wonderful experience. We're published now! I've been writing on this project since the first thread and I've had so much fun. I love you /lit/.

If you catch anything that is wrong in the PDF or BOOK I'll do my best to fix it. I'll link to the google doc I used for generating the PDF in a bit.

Feel free to start your own lulu accounts and sell it yourselves, I claim no sole ownership and neither should you.

Congratulations, /lit/. Our Ulysses come.
Thank you, tripeditor, Sam, Bottleman, Egotist and much more for contributing.

There's a minimum "listing price" of $31 and a maximum discount of 50% so I priced it as cheap as I could. I'm earning $0.20 per sold copy.

Now that I'm a published author I promise to only buy drugs and alcohol for that massive amount of money.

I'll write down some corrections to the pdf that you can adjust, hopefully. Page numbers are solely that of https://www.scribd.com/doc/293930007/Hypersphere

Remove spacing pg.12. If it cannot accommodate for Rimjaub table then at least adjust so there is no paragraph break b/t/n pp.13-14.
Farsi poem could occupy a page in itself, use that blank space wisely.
Part II beginning illustration is missing.
Paragraph b/t/n Part II poem and "But I digress..."
Invisible paragraph can be moved back to pg. 30.
((By now, I'd like to point your attention to beginning a page with a chapter instead of leaving the title hanging at the end of the previous page, it's slightly awkward. An example being pp.47-48, not limited to this.))
pg.53, remove upper margin, move material up.
Space Out Of Joint: move to new page, vide supra.

...

pg.62, 65... I'm honestly not going thru the rest.

I had imagined, while editing the manuscript, that I was preparing a book for the very dimensions of the document, and so I manipulated much blank spaces to get the aesthetic flowing with every page when possible. Is there a way I can help fix some stuff? I have some time on me and can afford some time off my winter stay to furbish the doc.

I feel sorry for those who, in their fever, bought the book without consulting the pdf.
>>
>>7497526
First edition is first edition
>>
>>7497526
Neat! Please continue going it through if you want to. I'll check back in a day or so and update the book for a second edition (but do buy the first edition, it'll be extremely valuable some day.

>could occupy a page in itself
If you think like that about everything you break the 740 page limit quickly :/ (which I did, and changed back some stuff).

>I'm honestly not going thru the rest.
That's how I felt the third time I went through the entire goddamn thing.
>>
>>7497543
>If you think like that about everything you break the 740 page limit quickly :/

>That's how I felt the third time I went through the entire goddamn thing.

>>
Guys, who profits off of this?
>>
>>7497552
It makes you really wonder what sort of shitstorm we're expecting from the alt/lit movement +SJW brigade.
>>
>>7497477
The general arc of the book is from juvenile stupidity to the genuine, entirely uncharming vitriol that comes out of an edgelord if you force them to articulate their edginess past the limits of glibness, sarcasm and insincerity.

Excerpt after a scifi parody mocking otherkin:
>Does anyone else find it uncanny how women given unrestrained status on par with men will slowly, unconsciously, practically psychically turn society into a giant personal hugbox for themselves, enslaving all the men and turning everything into a crybaby pity party that revolves around their vagina? They're just incredible. You let them loose in society and they just try to set themselves up as little petty tyrants, purely by reflex. Innocent old men in the park, dudes landing probes on other planets, it doesn't matter. If it's not directly pleasing to a woman, or if she's just in a bad mood, she'll psychically compel the mass of suppliant beta males to be her Daddy of the Moment, and then sic daddy on the thing that displeased her. They are cultural fucking poison. That’s Hyperdrive.
>>
>>7497514
But the front covers can be switched out?
>>
>>7497579
Only in alternative editions. Otherwise I'd have to delete the cover and upload a new one.
>>
>>7497314
Has anybody experienced Lulu before? Are their books durable or rather shitty?
>>
>>7497548
I genuinely appreciate your effort.

I really don't think the Farsi poem for instance is not worth it's own page. We have 20 pages to spare but that's because I made some (not so funny or interesting) very large text a bit smaller, there's room for a bit more of that but I don't like it since it breaks original intent if overdone.

But good pieces should have a bit more space, and if a chapter title can be moved down one line to be on a separate page: it's worth it.

This is a very chaotic book. But yeah, that's still nearly 200 pages cut, so I understand your misgivings, but that's what it's gonna be for the color edition.

>>
>>7501079
I'll upload the correct Word document here, hopefully tripeditor will catch up and replace the first edition with my corrections.

Of course, there are minor problems that couldn't be easily circumvented without devoting too much time, and since leaving certain "formats" outweighs the profit of bettering them (in lieu of making them appear as they would on the GoogleDocs) I left them be. They are very minor, like a footnote I had to include in a picture of a segment that skips a few numbers, that sort of thing. This version - heads up to editor - has an abundance of pictures (especially for the cryptos parts, some graphs and things that required special attention) that must be clipped in order to appear, surely tripfriend knows this. I'll put up a link as soon as I can.
>>
>>7501079
Oh, and if you're looking for the online version, I'll leave it perpetually up for consult and people who like to snoop off books online. Enjoy it, merry Christmas.

>>7501658
The document is here, and I say this again albeit you must already know because I'm becoming paranoid. >>7501303

Corrections range but are not limited to:
Basic grammar mistakes (in fact, laden with them.) Only unintentional, as some excerpts build on a motif that breaks from the norm (Tyrell the Crater, Skeezy... etc.)
Tried my best to fit stories to certain pages, smoother, more logical transitions.
Slight font size adjustments (especially titles that seemed to occupy a ridiculous amount of page, all with justification.)
Tables have been screencapped and inserted instead of transcribing them, since there just was no way it'd fit. (Cryptos, the red poem, Logic/Truth, "Choose your Investigator Y/N", had to screencap some other pictures too since Word failed to present them, a precaution.)
A response to your footnote, good tripeditor.
Two, three, maybe more secret sentences here and there, don't get too hyped.
And, as I said, managed with all that to reduce it to about 708 pages, IIRC. Slightly more economical cost and space management.
>>
>>7501747
I could use the beer money, but I'm not doing this for cash. These projects have become a little personal to me (especially since the initial failure of Kolsti and the Everglades' failure to kick - this is all before Grouse mysteriously rebounds and the thing gets published pronto - and similar /lit/ book projects that didn't take off - shout-out to the AS/CC crew, since they were primarily crushed under the juggernaut's parade, it being the Hypersphere at its very inception.) There are other examples I could go on and on talking about but this, to me, marks a small victory to me which I've sought for as long as I've browsed this very board.

I won't take pride in this alone, or any pride of that matter. Bottleman did not write Hypersphere, Anonymous did. I only used the nickname in the designated threads since I thought it gave credibility to the updated statuses I posted, it turns out that was a mistake. The trip using my name is not me, if it's worth mentioning now.

I'm just glad I can present my "art," however I find it unsatisfactory that many of my original excerpts had to be brutally screencapped by me, ruining its initial, designated (purposeful) format and inserted like mush. I took pride with everyone's work and I don't feel the paperback does it much justice, but it is what the masses demand.

I'll probably start writing serious literature soon, maybe archive it on the net, as I had remarked earlier. "Bottleman" begins and ends with Hypersphere and, despite its repute as a "reproachable behemoth framework" does not justify I use it for "online cred." So, if it so happens that someone is adopting my name, that person is a fraud. I only post anonymously.

I think it's safe to say that *this* is my final address. Take care, good folk. Stay warm and have a nice, snickerdoodleful Christmas.

“kill me senpai” ↱(somebody fuck my shit up)

Timmy Tingler, Hyperdimensional abortion, fiddles his diddle in front of the glass boobie hologram screen. Having just failed his online tesseract class for the 5th (fifth!) time, his 100 browser tabs are one-third efukt and two-thirds korean pop idol pornography.
“why it gotta be like this, senpai...” he musters as a tear rolls down his cheek and barely misses his dick. “now I c’ain’tβ never get my liberal shards degree.” Timmy logs on to FYAD, a hilarious meme-forum he frequented β-4 4Dulthood, in a fit of desperation and posts unironically, “senpai, I’m not gonna make it senpai. I want to die, i’m gonna shoot myself senpai no more of this man.”
After four more hours of getting cock sucked by korean teenies, he checks his meme tab to scout replies to his cry for help, before cumming in his eye and short-circuiting the rhombus calculator supplying his consciousness all these eons. Timmy’s spacetime corpse is plotted in another grave along the path between rooms three and four.
Centuries later, classicist ‘internet’ archivers find the unironic forum post and stamp UNIRONIC, NOT FUNNY across its file before throwing it in the smut recycle bin.

β is the last of the hyperblacks’ remaining vernacular.

“Listen, who is your owner? Who treated you like this?”
Fearing for his sometimes-lover mostimes-owner, Fido told Emma that he himself had been labeled as a dog by the power dialectic of the universalised capitalist machinery that demands perfect conformity to the norm or cruel rejection as defunct itinerary.
“You are right, Fido. One cannot be defined without an ‘other’, to compare is to create and without a relative we can form no scale in which to relate from. By demanding utility in sentient spirit we only create a function, an arbitrary telos tethered to the tool kit of capitalist society that exists purely as the product of another, the ability to define removed from you even, both now external, amplified to alienation, your own identity just a chain of surplus-value, money scum, mineral slag, unable to state a true self, so closely classified that you could be compounded down to canine and not even object to the authenticity of such formatting. Oh my, you are a poor monkey.”

A small selection of opening lines from the Hypersphere:

Part 1: Slice of Life Adventures in The Hypersphere
>Caitlyn Jenner waggles her wongus in front of a full-length mirror.
>We degenerates see a commercial for Yoplait, in which a sinewy-pretty pilates MILF lovingly prepares sack lunches for her school-aged children —one boy and the sweetest little lolita.
>David Wallace rises from his cryo chamber into another Spring day.
>You open the fridge: a pint of brown sugar-cinnamon cream cheese, disgusting, almost never used.
>There came a draft, solemn, melancholy, a little bitchy if you ask me, drifting from the open window displaying Mega City 4.

Part 2: A Scientific Study of The Hypersphere
>While the Puerile King wept the Hyperspace thrived--
>Donald Trump awoke with a thunderous laugh.
>I am seconds away from pulling an Ivan—but I will never be so terrible as to lay an unfriendly hand on my son.
>Damian gingerly caresses the dadbod abs of his Brucie Wucie.
>Under Ottoman occupation the bottle market was often said to be unstable and perhaps dangerous for the common man.
>Some people like the look of text on paper.
>Ben bin Al-Afleck was having a bad day so far.
>Hulk hogan sat alone in his room, reading his favorite Hulk Hogan manga, wondering when the backlash from the recent Hulk Hogan controversy would Hulk over.

Part III: Power Structures and Prejudice in Hyperspace, or, An Indictment of the White Race
>The year was 2015 and rape was but a long-forgotten videogame.
>It is time that we move past such gender-binary privileged white-dominated non-humanities science focused definitions of hyperspace.
>"Riko," Maki said. "Come look at what I've found on the internet."
>Timmy Tingler, hyperdimensional abortion, fiddles his diddle in front of the glass boobie hologram screen.
>Why not try to write something good, or are afraid everyone will realise how shit you really are?
>Wucie, stripped of his Christian name and the only body part he had any living attachment to, passes the time in a subterranean salon with sterile lighting, a dim fire burning in the faces of many small Japanese women.
>Social Anxiety is a very REAL disorder, affecting more than 4/3 of the American young-adult population today.
>>
Part ᚠᚩᚢᚱ: Schizophrenic Hypertime Fragments
>When one speaks of culture one must also necessarily speak of the means with which culture is produced, the schools, the universities, the conservatories and so on.
>The Scene: the Irish glen, populated by prosperously minaretted mosques.
>Ben bin Allahflakes did not talk to anyone about his nightmares, which gradually were moving into dream territory.
>Time is liquid in the throes of the female orgasm, but by the force of her kegel-fortified will, Aelius Maximus, avatar of the matriarchal hivemind, determined that the year was 2070.
>Owning cats is worse than having white power posters in your living room: 15-20% of the US population has allergic reactions to cats while less than that number are of african-american ethnicity, and while ethnocentric propaganda produces only emotional pain, cat allergies cause physical pain that can only be suppressed by taking pharmaceuticals with side effects ranging from drowsiness to immune system issues.
>It is our policy here at GOD HAS ABANDONED US in XXXXXXXX, to provide a healthy, pleasant and safe environment free from any sort of harassment, which includes by default sexual harassment.

Part V: Escaping Hyperreality
>Anime was once a secret passion of mine.
>Approximately ten party hat symbol thirty-three micrometers above the head of Johnnie, in a dimly-lit room, ghosts of burnt tobacco emerge from three heads, exposed by the glow of a Hitachi CRT TV, black and white and wood-paneled.
>One hot March afternoon, 1968, Gewehr Foucault, long-since virginal, set out on the last tankside patrol of his tour.
>And so the door frame is a symbol of civilisation, so afraid is the civilized man that the wall should encroach on the portal.
>Does anyone else find it uncanny how women given unrestrained status on par with men will slowly, unconsciously, practically psychically turn society into a giant personal hugbox for themselves, enslaving all the men and turning everything into a crybaby pity party that revolves around their vagina?
>To me nothing ugly nor good can happen anymore.
>John Madden awoke in a thicket.

hast’ou swum in a sea of air strip
through an aeon of nothingness,
when the raft broke and the waters went over me
>If you are able to read this horrific shit, you most likely have privilege.

Since you've already made it available, I guess this calls for a bolstered Third Edition. Crap, when I thought everything was fine and all, Word decides to come and fuck my shit up. The upside is that now I know all the idiosyncrasies and can make amendments to more segments of the book, but damn, when you thought you were done for the day...

>>
>>7514571
Import the bottleman .docx to google docs, lower the amount of pages try to export it to a .pdf.

The files already have the right format (A5) required to print them.
>>
>>7516748
I'm asking because I've done a full edit of the original finished google doc and now I'm going to do a heavily cut edit for the value color edition
>>
>>7516756
What was the maximum amount of pages? 720? And for color it was around 500, right?
>>
>>7516767
>>7516771
740 for the regular version! I'll check out the color version for you! I just downloaded all the goddamn google fonts so that I can export it locally instead of the devil that is google docs.
>>
>>7516767
You can actually do a color version with 740 pages too! It'll cost over $100 though :S

Just a word of advice though, the problem is not editing in google docs, the problem is getting it to export to a .pdf (since it's too big for Google to do that). Not trying to be an asshole and I really do wish you luck! Just ask if you have any questions.
>>
>>7516787
Where did you download the fonts? The Google Fonts page requires you to pay for most of them.
>>7516799
Yeah. But that's for international shipping, US-only release is $35 for 740 pages.

So what was the problem with the latest edition and scribd? Why did things get shuffled around so much?
>>
>>7516821
https://github.com/google/fonts/archive/master.zip

>Why did things get shuffled around so much?
Because images can't be properly exported from gdocs and bottleman though it looked better. Idk though, the first edition would have worked if had just edited it myself locally (because gdocs is the seriously the devil when it comes to exporting formatting).
>>
>>7516868
So it's just uploading a PDF? Why upload it into googledocs and then export it? Any word editor can export a PDF.
>>
>>7516927
That is, uploading a PDF to lulu, so why upload an edit to googledocs and then export a PDF.
>>
THIRD EDITION
I haven't uploaded it to lulu yet, feel free to to through it and I'll change anything that's wrong.

https://www.scribd.com/doc/293930007/Hypersphere
>>
>>7516932
>>7516927
You don't need to do it for the .docx but google couldn't export properly from the original document. Now that you have the fonts, the fully formatted A5 document and images properly embedded it's fairly easy.
>>
>>7516983
Okay, I'll use this as a second template. If there are any mistakes I'll mend them myself and send a link.
>>
I don't have the fonts downloaded, so I'm going to upload a docx for whoever does to make a PDF.
