Once you get down to a certain size with a corset, how long/often do you need to wear the corset in order to maintain that size?
Having a smaller waist sounds nice, but I also don't wanna be one of those people who never leaves the house without a corset.

Keep in mind I'm just starting out on tightlacing myself. I've tried a couple of mock-ups on and that's the extent of my first-hand experience.
From reading up though, you can expect to have to wear the corset for as many hours a day, as many days as possible, for the first few months.
Following which you can reduce the number of hours a day you wear it. Some people also reduce the number of days a week they wear it after only a few months although I feel more inclined to carry on wearing it as much as possible for at least a couple of years. After that, you should be able to get away with even fewer hours a day and/or days a week to maintain the results.
The good news I guess is, after the first few months, even if you keep on wearing it religiously, it won't ache like it does to begin with and an easy way to get your maintenance wears in would be to wear it while you sleep.

oh don't worry so much about it. i'm in the same position as you but whatever. you definitely wanna reduce your ribs though. go for a conical/straight-rib corset shape to meet this end, rather than an hourglass or waspie which are really just flesh pushers.
