Well the help of some people here and my online friends I managed to talk myself out of a suicide which was my preferred coping method until that. People around you being a coping mechanism in this case. In general I'm just setting myself a goal in the future and trying my damnest to not think about the past, that's just an endless supply of misery. First is to do with scarring. This was, ironically inspired by the medic's healgun in TF2, but there's an applicator in development that can spray skin onto a would or burn, completely annulling scar tissue
Tidbit#2 was something I spotted in the future materials fair in Trinity College Dublin. There's a way of calcifying a mesh around spider web such that normal bone can be grown around it. This means that there's unlikely to be rejection of a bone-structure alterations, so no more ugly chins, or wide ass limbs, if you're willing to go into surgery for it.
Finally, a little oddity that I'd love researched is the immune suppressants in tapeworms. It could lead to significantly lowered rejection rate for foreign organs, so womb transplants could be a thing as soon as 10 years. Could. If it gets researched.

Yes, for now we can hope for bone reduction and re-shaping. The issue with full re-adjustment is that your bone is supporting your other organs, and removing and re-shaping it could be very dangrerous. Not outside the realms of possiblility, but dangerous.

I think I've studied a decent amount of anatomy yet I'm still having a hard time visioning how much shit would have to be squished and re-adjusted when re-locating shoulders. I guess only studying surface anatomy for art does that for you, very little idea how many nerves and veins are going through that part.

Ah crud, I somehow always thought it was due to the type of tissue used that caused it to want to want to close in. Goes to show how little I know about surgery techniques, tissue healing and such I guess.
I don't see anything wrong in someone going non-op if they're not having much genital related dysphoria tho. Irreversible surgery is always irreversible surgery and there's no way to guarantee the results for everyone. Certainly wouldn't guilt someone for wanting to wait for more advanced SRS methods to develop and become available if they're not in a hurry.
