Treat it like you're training for a sport or learning to play an instrument or whatever like that that you do. It's a lot of muscle memory work that you need to learn and I found that training with that in mind helps.
There's also a lot of videos and pages that describe ways to train and I didn't just stick with of them, i tried a lot of different ones to work on different parts of my voice from different angles. I'm pretty sure that was a big help too.
