Is there a more accurate semi-auto than PSG1? I think we have all heard/read that many years ago, but does that statement still hold up today?
>>
>>30569487
It used to be, but now there are plenty considered to be as accurate. I'm thinking primarily of the .308 AR variants such as the M110.
>>
Allegedly, the GAP-10 shoots <.5 moa.
>>
>>30569487
Many AR variant rifles can surpass the PSG-1 now.

For that matter, so can the DMR SCAR H variant.

It's no longer the 80s.

PSG-1 & MSG-90 were relatively special when they came on the market, but now they're outdated as hell. Same thing with the WA2000.

There's plenty of AR10s that shoot better.
Hell, I expect the Mk20 SSR outshoots a PSG-1 as well.

The HK G28 is more accurate than that. It was one of the reasons the G28 won the CASS contract.

Nice link, but how does it compare to other rifles?

>>30570341
>The HK G28 is more accurate than that.
Sorry, I couldn't understand from the sentence which rifle are you comparing it to.
>>
>>30570550
Federal GMM 168gr .485″ (.46 MOA) .306″ (.29 MOA)
HSM 168gr HPBT Match .906″ (.87 MOA) .741″ (.71 MOA)
HSM 7.62 NATO 168gr AMAX .695″ (.66 MOA) .589″ (.56 MOA)

I quote :
"
I like to equate it to driving a classic Ferrari or other collectible sports car. Yes, there are cars that are faster and flashier, but the experience is more than just the raw numbers. That is how shooting the PSG-1 was. Today there are rifles that do everything as good or better and for less money, but that is short changing what H&K accomplished with this rifle. It was an absolute delight to shoot and the performance could more than hold its own today "

Last link is the guy shooting it. Sounds like a high end AR shooting , with better follow up. -shrug-

The SVD, PSL, and Vepr can be rechambered for .308 so no.

SVD & certainly PSL (with its pencil barrel) are far far far less accurate than the PSG-1... Even when rechambered in .308.

Dunno about the Veprs, but I imagine the same.

The G28 that HK was selling at a lower price than the M1110 and MK20, chosen by officials that have stock invested in HK which is probably why shit like the MR556 which is literally just a mid length fucking piston AR, won a contract?

Who do I need to kill to buy this from? Last time I saw one for sale was 2010 going for 11k... Still one of the most beautiful black rifles out there. Would hydrodip it multicam...
>>

You have shit taste in rifles.
>>
>>30569487

Yes plenty. A premium AR with Match ammo can and will do 1/2 MOA.

My off the shelf Black Rain Ordnance even does less than that and it was $1800. 69gr Federal Premium match, not even handloads.

Yeah I can confirm the VEPRs AT BEST are 1.0 to 2.0 moa rifles and that's after being heavily customized with match grade ammo. MAC did a test with a VEPR, a dragunov and a PSL and all shot about 1.5moa with Hornady's Steel Cased match ammo.

I love mine, but I'm sure a PSG-1 would out shoot it anyday of the week.

Who makes these <1 MOA AR10s? I am just generally curious. I have been eye balling the Les Baer, that runs around 3000 sheckles. Its also said to maintain its sub .5 MOA even with non=-match ammo. I also know the importance of good glass. But who else makes decent rifles? I am making more money, I wanna go big.
>>
>>30577914
Big ones i've heard tossed around are The GAP-10, LWRC REPR, H&K MR762 are the mega-sheckle ones. Les Baer also makes some crazy accurate ar10 pattern rifles as well.
>>
>>30577914
you build one with a good barrel

GAP-10

AR10s are not that plug and play like an AR15
Especially for super accuracy.
But a high end, mated reciever set (preferably KAC pattern, not DPMS) with a high end barrel and a high end trigger and you should get some great results.

Or you just buy one with a warranty, and if it doesnt live up, you send it back.

Is that the tuneable break ? Who makes that ? Just put a CNC warrior Zenit rip-off on mine.

What optic is that youre running ? I got the Arsenal sm-13 mount but no optic yet ... my next buy for the rifle. Sorry for so many questions. I are the noob.
>>
>>30578055
No prob, it's the ares arms Effn-A Compensator and it is indeed tunable.

As for the optic, it's a Bushnell Tactical Elite on a Leupold Mount. Runs pretty good, but I need to adjust the comp a bit, the recoil is still a bit harsh and it makes hard to stay sighted into the scope to see my shots.

Thanks for the response. Ive seen that break before ... really cool.
