/ktg/ #18. Previous thread: >>30521941

Looking for a decent M9 Bayonet sub-$100, bonus points if it looks slav.
>>
First for Sharps is a fag
>>
I had a friend a few years who was really into knives. He liked showing the ones he had and always promoted them as useful (when we were out doing stuff, he did use it for various things). It eventually convinced me to buy one. I bought a microtech OTF knife, because it looked fun, and I got a good amount of use out of it.

Just wondering, did I buy a quality knife or a meme/loser knife? Either way I don't regret it.
>>
Just get an OKC M9, they're 100 bucks you faggot
>>
>>30542170
as long as it wasnt a fake, it was a quality knife!

I have a bayonet for my enfield stamped mk 111 i was lead to believe this would fit my trench gun i recieved today, but it doesnt, am i retarded or it filling required because repro heatsheld
>>
Need bayonet for M16A2. Do I go M7 or M9?

Best place to buy either for a good price? Don't really plan on using it as a knife; mostly want it as a 'because I can' for all my guns with bayonet lugs

You could get an Ontario M9 or M10 although it would be a bit pricier. Kabar probably makes something as well. Any generally reputable knife company is probably okay if you're not super concerned with getting the best.

Also consider the OKC-3S which is what the Marines currently use.

thats right, ignore and dont reply!

the BM has been better than i expected after getting the edge bevel reground, they ship these with a real fat edge, but they made a pretty nice slim blade. To have the axis work freely and lock up still be tight and blade centered, loctite is a must.
>>
Last bread I was talking to >>30539978 about a buying myself a knife. My price range is 200-100 and I am specifically looking for a folding knife. I live in the Chicago suburbs so knife laws are kind of strict, so no assisted. I'm not too picky about appearance, just care if it looks half decent, is sharp, and keeps its edge for a long time.

When it comes to small utilitarian fixed blades there's not much variety beyond what's decent and what's not. You'll probably end up with something like pic related but with micarta and a D2 blade or some such.

Come to think of it, the D2 BK14 is on sale super cheap on knifecenter right now.

>>30544500
I would give you $60

Benchmade grippy or spyderco pm 2.you cant go wrong with either and you can find them on the secondary market pretty cheap with minor use.i could give better but your preferences are vague because thats at least 90 percent of knives out there.
>>
My most recent acquired knife, the Stedemon dsg

It's a really good knife and far better than I had earlier expected, function and looks wise. Pretty lightweight for its size and the liner has no relief cut on it which I am a big fan of.

try something like this. lt wright next gen.

3'' blade, micarta scales (unless you want to shell out extra for fancy wood).

Also the lt wright bushcrafter (also made by battle horse knives).

If you want to go cheaper, try something like esee izula 2, or the new esee 3hm (redesigned handle, can't remember how much they cost though).

That's alright. I started with a lightning to see if I liked OTF's. I decided to move up from there (like how I started with Chinese scopes and moved up to Nightforce)

It's the faster their is. The 1911 is first. The large Espada is second and the neck knife is third. Pocket deploying mechanisms are the fastest their is. A 5.5 inch folder flying from your pocket is more than enough to rattle someone.

It's fast when it works but you have to have a perfect angle deploying it, you have to be standing up and you have to have room to swing your arm back far enough. Also sometimes it fails anyways.

Dude screw that, you shouldn't get anything from BM and be remotely dissatisfied with it considering that a big chunk of the price of any BM is the butterfly on the blade.
