quad is full rails. mlok is long holes where the shit pinches in (you can find diagrams around). keymod is exactly what it looks like, you put it in the big part and slide back then tighten. Mlok and keymod are lighter I believe.

What's your budget like?
If you're cheap, grab PSA's D&H 30rd magazines. For iron sights, a basic Magpul MBUS rear sight. For optics, a Bushnell TRS-25 is fine (needs a riser) for cheap. Otherwise, I like Aimpoint's Micro lineup. If you're looking for magnified, that'll depend on what your purpose is. I'd look first at fixed magnification scopes (3x, 4x, or 6x) or low-magnification variable scopes (1-4x, 1-6x, or 2-7x) for most rifles.

I mainly bought it because of the solid metal trigger guard and DEUS VULT for full auto

I have had cheap FMJ leave what I can only describe as leaving trash jacket material in my barrels requiring 10-20 rounds of premium bullets through them before groups settle down again.
This is without cleaning on the same range day so the new high quality projectiles are the only difference I can surmise.
I have wanted an AR for some time now and because of recent events I think now is the time to go ahead and buy one.
I was initially planning to buy an AK-74 as my next rifle but because I already own a 47 I would rather have a different platform.
What are your thoughts on building an AR chambered in 5.45x39?

Pick your mags carefully, I forget which brand was the go-to but I remember there being only one decent company and even then 1 in 5 mags may be best just marked for failure drill practice.
I have had a 5.45x39 pencil 14.5" and two bolts for it in my parts bin for years now that I never got around to building and the 7n6 ban pretty much killed my motivation for it.

If you don't like surface rust, yes. Phosphate is great at holding oil to the metal as protection, but barrels get hot and the oil burns away. It is up to the user to re-apply it. rub it on then wipe the excess, the phosphate will soak it up, you can slather it on for long term storage though.
