Also, I'd like to thank the /k/ommandos that met with me at the original NuggetFest location this weekend. The time had finally come to say goodbye to the hunting lease and cleanup the "Site B" location once and for all. While the original home of NuggetFest is now part of the long and memorable past, it is certainly not the end for Pennsylvania or NuggetFest.

So incredibly sad I missed it... even disregarding the potentially bad weather, I think I needed to spend the weekend back home tending to all sorts of personal matters.
Anyways... just a reminder that I am bringing the Barrett M107A1 with the QDL suppressor. Ammo is $5 a round for the gun. I have just over 18K in this piece, so I have to protect it with ammo that I trust, and has been in my possession.
I'm also bringing the Barrett MRAD in .338lm with the AAC TiTan-QD suppressor. Ammo for that (actually costs significantly more than the .50) will be $3/rd, and I absolutely positively have to keep the brass.
The REPR with the YHM Phantom suppressor is chambered in .308win. Bring your own factory-new, brass-cased ammo for it. It will shit out 147/150gr stuff, so I advise bringing 165-180gr bullets.
Apart from that, I'll bring my 5.7x28mm pen gun. I'll bring ammo at no cost for that.
Lastly, I might bring some other garden-variety Title I guns with suppressors on them.

Recoil is probably going to be significantly more than anything you have shot before, but it isn't bad. The gun will give you a big push, but it isn't as fast, and subsequently as sharp as a lightweight hunting rifle, etc.. The recoil is noticeably less if you remove the suppressor, and let the muzzle brake do its job. I don't think the auxiliary brake on the can does a whole lot.

Friday's showers are only predicted for 11am - 1pm. Saturday isn't expected to rain til after 4pm and Sunday isn't expected to rain until 1pm, but there will be thunderstorms. I was already planning to have everyone pretty much packed up and gone by around noon on Sunday, so that works out alright, basically the rain Saturday afternoon is all we really have to plan around, we'll probably just call the range early and head back to the campsite.

You know, it's really surprising how quickly people can bond when they are attending an event specifically because they all share a few of the hobbies that NuggetFest is based around.

The guns were covered in either condensation, water, or ice for almost 3 days. Anything that didn't have Duracoat or Ceracoat on top had a thin layer of rust on it. I thoroughly tore down every damn gun I took (very far past field stripping), cleaned, and then doused in moisture-displacing-lube (MDL). It wasn't a fun week. I HATE cleaning guns.
