You can buy an mp5 from pof or zenit for $1500. I forgot which one it is or it may be both but one of them is literally an mp5 with the markings but no HK etched on it and you're funding easily the two most repulsive countries.

I had high hopes for the SP5. It almost looked like someone at HK finally woke the fuck up.
Then they announced that not only there will never be a fullsize version, but that they'll go and neuter the gun beyond recognition (no lever mag release, among other things, and if you ever tried to use the button release you know how dumb that is).
All that with a MSRP of $2700, for a stamped steel gun that is still in production right now.
tl;dr: Bought a POF for $1450 and a SEF lower for $50, HK can go suck a fat one.
