The AR market has had some real innovations.
Rails pretty much ended up becoming standard because of all the options they open up for AR's, really from the late 90's to today we saw AR's truly transform into fully modular weapons where by just pulling a few pins and popping new shit on you could configure it to do whatever you wanted. True to the new matierialstic and corporatized norm in america, they never stopped costing and arm and a leg either but I digress.
Unfortunatley it also saw the rise of mall-ninja tacticool faggotry in which the gun was forced to perform to outlandish specs or to meet qualifications for absurd tactical scenarios that realistically, could be solved by regular means or werent even an issue.
This was done in a desperate bid to sell something to the guy who already owned an AR.
"Sure you own an AR, but what if you are defending your home from 35 rapists, you shoot a perfect t-zone on all 30, one after the other, but then..... BAM, rifles empty, and theres still 5 rapists left! What do you do? You pull your glock out of the stock thats really a holster and you take care of buisiness, thats what!"
The correct response to this retarded scenario is "reload"
But the Mall ninja simply commences sweating and calling his parents to give him an advance on his "big-boy allowance" that his parent mistakenly hoped would teach him fiscal wisdom after he moved back in unemployed at age 24.

If only they made some sort of device that could retain a pistol within easy easy reach that you could wear on your person.
Not a pocket, but kind of like one, say a sort of pocket that could attach to a belt or be integrated into your rig in a modluar manner so as to free both hands to operate your rifle, where your pistol could sit secure while you used both hands to do other things, but still be easily acessed if some sort of crazy circumstance prevented you from using your rifle but you still needed to fire.
Maybe in the future we will see such a thing get invented, perhaps somebody should write darpa and get them on it.
Until then I guess we are all just stuck with these glock-stocks. Its a shame. I would kill to have my pistol on my hip, or thigh, or even my tactical rig.

Looks like a really practical choice for when me and my team comes under fire from the local gangbangers and terrorists. If my primary rifle goes down due to the sniper fire I will appreciated the extra handgun the stock to complement the Sig on my hip and Bersa .380 on my ankle.
