Australian pump action 10/22 based rifle for $1400 ($1000us) using kidd barrels

Thoughts?

Looks goofy, but I respect them for trying
They need to make it in 223/308 to get some real sales figures
>>
Thank god we dont have mag caps on rimfires here in canuckistan
>>
>>30087499
If they just fucking coated the receiver black and added a rail or two then everyone would love them. The unfinished receiver looks like ass especially with the wooden stock. I'm guessing maybe they're trying to avoid any spooky assault rifle media hype though
>>
holy shit thats expensive
>>
>>30087970
So just like anything else in Australia then.
>>
>>30087524
We don't in half the states in Aus either, so quite a few of these will be wearing bx25 mags, should look good
>>
>>30088052
>bx25

good luck finding one not capped @ 10 rounds

Do you get pump action AR-15s in Australia? Here in Chile you can get this beauty for US$2230
>>
To 30088614, that is NOT an AR-15. THAT is an abortion trying to present itself as an AR.
>>
>>30088614
we could but customs would not let it in due to the OAL when the folding stock is folded and the appearance
>>
>>30088108
A few pop up on used guns every now and again. I've seen maybe 4 or 5 go around in private sales. They're around.

>>30088614
Got banned
>>
Cool concept, I'd rather a straight pull 10/22 if I was going to dump that much money though. Pump action pretty much defeats the purpose of a good barrel IMO, unless the pump is extremely short and smooth to the point where it doesn't affect aim (although the action itself isn't possible while benched anyway)
>>
>>30088614
Customs banned the Troy PAR from import based on looks alone.
>>
>>30087893
They will be black, its a prototype just like the wood stock
>>
>>30089281
The bipod mount is seperate to the pump
And look at the video on firearm owners united facebook page, they look bloody smooth
>>
>>30089912
I hope so, I assumed it was all a prototype too until they mentioned "Australian hardwood" stock as a feature
>>
>>30089281
How does pump action defeat the purpose of a good barrel? The barrel is free floating by the looks of it, the pumpy bit slides on a part coming out of the receiver
>>
>>30087244
Doesn't look terrible.

I wouldn't mind one but don't have the free coin at the moment. Buying a CZ455 next already.
>>
>>30090649
>cz455
Nice choice, my dude
>>
>>30088108
There are normally a few proper BX-25s for sale, you just have to be willing to pay for them.

My mate paid $220 for one for his PWS T3.
>>
>>30090668
>$220
>BX25

What. The. Fuck.

I can find original mags for my SVD for third of that, and I consider them expensive.
>>
>>30090741
you cant import them
it's the same deal as an AR15 being $1000 and an m16 being $25000
literally the only way they get in is someone with a very hard to obtain permit for professional culling and then they decide to sell it
>>
>>30090757
just build or 3d print the mag, the spring and follower can be brought online.

i feel like im the only Aussie here that can actually think and work around our laws, rather then the rest of you that just like to sit around and bitch about how we have silly laws, like you are a bunch of cucked slaves sitting around enjoying and getting off on the limits imposed upon on you.
>>
>>30090803
Its not that easy to 3d print a BX-25.

Myself and a gunsmith mate are looking into manufacturing them though.
>>
>>30090816
only need to 3d print 1 that works and you have a base for a mold
>>
>>30090851
Indeed you do.

You do realise the BX-25 isn't that old though.

I can't imagine Ruger being all that happy if we blatantly rip of their mag.

It needs to be similar enough to work but different enough to steer clear of any inevitable patents they hold on it. Also of course BX-25 would be a trademark so we will call it something different. Like the GS-MFC-JWH 25, standing for go suck my fat cock John Winston Howard.
>>
>>30090884
simply make it as plain as it can be
>>
>>30088665
Pretty sure the only reason those exist is to get around strict laws about semi auto fire.

Omg I LOVE AMERICA.

ya'll are c'cked hard like the little roo fuckers you are, arentcha?
>>
>>30091105
the 2nd A is the one and only thing that makes America good, without it its a shit hole
>>
>>30089792
I keep hearing this but I've never seen anything in writing. I suspect it's just a rumour that people keep spreading without understanding the law.

There's nothing inherently wrong with the PAR and customs can only apply a stricter test if it 'substantially' appears to be the same as an automatic firearm. That's a fairly broad test that could be challenged
>>
>>30091190
yea there is go call customs and find out
>>
>>30091190
I thought it was the folding stock causing trouble With customs. And now that it was amended fairly recently it should be all good.
>>
>>30091200
the folding stock issue is over, they're now allowed for import, i.e. the ruger precision rifle
>>30091190
It has to do with the fact that the Troy PAR has 'too many' interchangable parts with an AR-15. It's my understanding that the lower receiver is almost identical.

Same thing with the romanian AK PAR1, which is an AK pattern pump action 7.62x39. if you get a real AK bolt, gas block, piston etc etc they can be converted to semi auto, which is why they're not allowed here in cunt-hole (australia).

The link to the vicpol website has a list of perfectly legal firearms that have been reclassified for looking too similar to "military style weapons" or some other such bullshit.
such as,
Alexander Arms R17
German Sporting Guns 522
DPMS Panther Pump Action Rifle
Olympic Arms Match E2 MK2 Rifle
and so on.
Nothing awesome is allowed here....

I feel sorry for you, Ausbros. At least we have some gun freedoms.

Why doesn't someone just register a rifled shotgun as a "pump-action 12ga rifle"?

The rifle is pretty accurate. This was shot today at 25m in rain and wind. With Winchester power points
>>
>>30091335
im currently in the possess of making a upper receiver kit that will make the WFA1 pump action while using all the same parts strait out of the original receiver.

just a matter of striping the original receiver and putting the parts in the pump action one.

also doesn't need a PTA because the lower is the registered part with the serial.

the foregrip is almost the same is the gun in OP
>>
>>30091705
thats around a 1/3 inch group or something right?
that'll make it just over 1 moa.
>>
>>30091756
Pls keep us updated. And lemme know about pricing.
>>
>>30091771
In wind and rain, not using target ammo, with an unfamiliar gun, I was pretty happy.
>>
>>30091814
long way off, i travel for work so its not a priority
