Yep. That's the plan: this is a second chance to make up for screwing around my first two years in college... work my ass off, impress some important people, make great impressions, and bag some good letters of recommendation.

Needless to say, I didn't put my mediocre GPA on my application for this internship. I've heard that for most employers, unless you have an exemplary GPA, a 3.9, something like that, to not even bother listing it. The military obviously is an exception to this, as a lot of branches have minimum GPAs for specific jobs and regardless of branch, the boards seem to weigh it pretty heavily in their decision.

I was a 19k for a few years, its an okay job for combat arms.
junior enlisted are drivers and loaders, you'll get trained to do both but your platoon will usually make you "officially" one or the other.
I was a driver, an Abrams has a steering/throttle assembly kinda like a motor bike, the transmission shifter is on the steering assembly too, your break is at your feet like a car.
