Also perfected bumpfiring my RPK today. Put an entire 40rd mag into a 2ft spread at 100 yards in about 5 seconds. Super easy to do off the bipod.

I do have a drum, I've only emptied it twice. First time was rapid fire, it failed to feed the last 4-5 rounds. Probably didn't wind it enough.
2nd time was an attempted bumpfire, it was slower than the one today and also had two jams. Don't know why it jammed but I'm guessing it was due to the ATF party mix I had it loaded with (FMJ/HP/SP)

hey guys, how much resistance should I be feeling when trying to put an upper wood handguard on? Im worried about breaking it.
I know I have to put it in the tracks then twist it, but the handguard I used seemed to be wider than the tracks allowed. Then again, it was a broken handguard that I glued back together, so it might have been a mm wider.

A vepr is good to those ranges. But if your gonna spend money on match ammo or handloads there are better options out there. I hate saying it in /akg but build a sr25 style rifle. Tons of options, mags are plenty and cheap. Spend the money on the barrel, like something from white oak or wilson combat.

I don't know really.. I like the look of a regular AKM.. something you might see a child soldier holding. But I know myself, and I would want to start tinkering and if I start with something like the SLR that looks kind of modernized already, I wouldn't feel as bad messing with it.

That was my original plan anyway. At least one of the cans had lost it's seal though so I crack it open, put it in a 50 cal ammo can with a bunch of desiccant packets and called it good. Might do the same with the other one that looks like it lost it's seal. Don't want that stuff sitting there and rusting without me knowing about it. What's the best way to tell if it's still sealed?

Arsenal is the most cost-effective way to get a proper side-folder. They run smoother out of the box.
Their factory trigger is also fucking garbage and Hoppes will take the finish off. Also plenty of examples of people understandably pissed off with spending more than a grand on a rifle with canted sights.
Personally I don't care for the look of a 90° gas block or polymer furniture on a 7.62x39 rifle, but love the triangle folder.
