Does anyone use the magguts extensions for their shield?

I was thinking about getting one, but then why not just sell the 7 round and buy the 8?
I want to get one for my g42. I already have a +2 extended baseplate and would like to increase it to +3. Would be sweet having a 9+1 g42, especially when compared to its original capacity of 6+1.

The extensions don't affect the magazine dimensions

they work in the 8

How do the work?
I have a Shield and would like more ammo on tap

Basically two springs instead of one, apparently it's extremely reliable. The thought of a small gun like the shield with 9+1 makes me really want to get one.

Oh, disregard, I'm retarded. I thought you were talking about grip extensions.

Would that even work?

Actually...this technology has been around for a while. There's a reason S&W didn't go this route for their mags.
Once I found out you can have a catastrophic magazine malfunction where it won't feed but the springs are fine, after like 500 rounds, I lost interest. That's inviting a "it worked on the range" scenario where it works fine until you approach that threshold where it fucks up which ironically may be when you need it.
