On the other hand, my Ecuadorian jacket has departed the LA hub and should be here by Tuesday, along with my 6 color desert trousers.

do surplus stores (offline) sell m65 jackets without the liner, because i've only been to one surplus store and they were selling with liner for around $70
also what's the general opinion on wearing camo for civilian use
i've read that it's fine as long as you wear retired stuff
speaking of which, is woodland camo retired or is that offlimits

99% of the time M65s are sold without the liner. Liners are really only worth $5 anyway, if they charge any more for that you're getting jewed.

The jackets themselves are really only worth around $20-30. Gun shows, goodwill and ebay are great places to find them around that price, surplus stores will generally jew you.

As for wearing camo, it's fine if it's just one article of clothing, and retired imo. Woodland hasn't been in use since 2004, that's good to go.
>>
>>29486224

>$70

That's disgusting. For a woodland M65? You can grab one with a liner for about $20 most anywhere. There's millions of them.

Also for US yes, woodland is no longer issued. Lots of people wear it.

They only made DNG tops and bottoms. Helmet covers, hats, and Gore-Tex clothing is all commercial.
Never understood why they never issued DNG PASGT covers though. It's a little weird to have your whole body "camouflaged" and have your head stand out like a big beacon for a 1PN34. Speaking of that, has anyone ever actually tested the stuff with 70s and 80s Soviet night vision?

I use adhesive. I stick it on, get it how I want it then blast it with a hairdryer for a few minutes, using the peeled backing to push it after its warmed up. Let it sit for a few hours and you should be good.

Found out today while cataloging my shit and getting it ready to sell. Goodwill actually was contracted to create ACU in 2003. Didn't even realize I had a set of 2003 Goodwill MADE ACU. Makes me pretty happy considering most everything I have with the exception of a few items was purchased from Goodwill.

Nice setup there, I do keep mine in the closet but it's packed as an impromptu go bag (socks/clothes/ammo/food) if for some insane reason I have to leave my house during shtf.

It also works as a very sturdy duffle bag, the pocket/layering system is space efficient and the center is waterproof.

Yeah it's OK in the snow, or a very light drizzle. I believe the temperature was 11f today, the snow was dry, and didn't really melt much, I wore a light peckham fleece and I wasn't bothered by the cold.

I wasn't wet at all, however it does need some DWR or a water repellent treatment, which I'm debating on doing. I have used the spray with great results on a few pieces of gear I have; but I think I'll reach for another parka if it's down pouring just because I would rather not risk fucking the color up with a can of DWR. I'm thinking perhaps a wax application could work well. something like Nikwax.

>>29492070
I'd imagine exerting yourself and keeping a nice high body temp then jumping in the snow would cause some wetness

Personally I feel nikwax would be the best option, works very well on my norwegian jacket with the hood. I suppose it is up to the individual, which is why I didn't treat or print onto a a water-repelent fabric. Aside from technical difficulties.

>>29492144
Specifically you have to search for SADNF boots. they had them in the 90's for a bit and then decided they didn't like them. They're too big for me, if you fit a 11-12. Also, no pull up loop on the back, what's that about?
>>
>>29492491

The color makes them look like NBC galoshes.

Thanks. I am a size 11.5. Would work perfect. Are you looking to get rid of them?
>>
If you were a 1920s country, given the materials and dyeing techniques of the time, what would your combat uniform and gear look like? What sort of camo pattern would you adopt for an arid environment with significant amounts of greenery near population centers (because people settle near water)?

We better clarify, are we talking US or UK sizes, because I'm talking UK.

Come to momma, image limit.
>>
>>29492485
Yeah, it was beautiful yesterday, walked around in shorts and a t-shirt, almost was too hot.

Went to a polo game to sad-celebrate my b-day and met some really pretentious british guy, who turned out to be one of the players. Pretty neato.

Where are you at Japanon?

I thought the Italians managed shelter halves?

>>29492577
Appreciate the clarification. I'm normally an 11.5 US. Those are 12 UK?

Kek, vidya is the killer of may social lives.

I went looking for grills, but the neither of the types there were right for me. Really old rich women and the ones my lunch was made on.

The open bar was nice I guess

>>

Most grills around here are country type but hate vidya, and the ones that do are ultra lib. It's like one or the other.
