Have any of you guys heard anything about the Echo Trigger by Fostech?

It's the same concept as Franklin Armory's BFS, but they claim to have fixed the hammer follow issue. Apparently they actually filed for their patent before Franklin Armory, actually got ATF approval, and the trigger is designed to fit inside all lowers and won't require machining or shimming at all to fit.

It almost sounds too good to be true. If they somehow managed to fixed the hammer follow issue it will be worth the $480 asking price.

Aha have you shot it yet?

It will operate reliably depending on how bad it is. i could accept it but... It would bother me.

See this is again circumstances where carbine gassed 16" with big port and h3 buffer+red coded springco would power through like nothing.

If you have shot say more than 200 rounds the high spot should be very clear.

I documented my anderson bad upper before i sent it back to anderson. I have pictures on my phone somewhere or maybe on my comupter which have backup phone data.

Wanna see?

I repeat anderson took care of me nicely they send me new upper which's great fit with my lower minimal wobble the carrier also have minimal wobble in the upper. I have maybe 500 through that upper. I love it but eh the rail arent numbered.

Sorry about the grainy pic, it's getting dark out.

I just put on my new hand guard and front sight, originally I had a carbine length 'standard' hand guard.

I don't know how I feel about my rifle now. It's super comfortable compared to the former configuration, but it just doesn't feel right. I did all the installation properly and it went smoothly, I just feel like I fucked up and something deep inside of me wants to have a basic-bitch black rifle again.

I'm considering going back to the standard config. I just don't like my rifle as much as I used to, even if it was basic as fuck.

No no no have a faith shoot them a email or call them. Have a tone like you believe they would do you right.

Cant hurt to try. But if they wont.

You can also sand down the high spot. If high spot isnt so high you could lace the carrier with lapping compound and fuck the upper with the carrier vigorously for like 1k stroke.

If its very high fuck the anodizing you can sand it the fuck down.

Or sell it off to some poor sumbitch.

Personally i would work on it.

Not a fan of AFGs, and I don't plan on getting rail covers.

I prefer iron sights to red dots because every red dot I've ever looked through is blurry and distorted, I think there's something wrong with my eyes.

I was thinking about getting a 1-4x optic but I don't really know how much I want to spend.

>>
>>29305839
I'm sorry George I thought I answered a couple threads ago.

I highly suggest you pass on them. They're made of some slightly rigid rubber, and do not fasten securely to the rail. I've since replaced them with the BCM Keymod covers and I am pretty happy with those. NCStar makes airsoft stuff, and it shows. Skip them my friend.

It's cheap, I think I paid $50 at Cabelas. Build quality is 7/10, but it's pretty sturdy, it locks up very well and hardly wobbles. They are relatively light.

not a huge design flaw but it can lead to early wear as i have experienced.

He tweak the angle to be more aggressive. For example lock back your pistol slide see the angle of engagement between slide and slide stop? If angle was in wrong direction or not aggressive enough.... It would fail or being too easily accidentally released by loading mag in too hard or brushing the slide release.

Dont call what you dont understand retarded.

Just now tried my HDSI, BCM, ANDERSON upper they just wont do it up to about 12 ft/lb but i see them teetering failire then i stopped because i dont want to mar the ch or upper in that specific idiotic spot to have mar.

So. HDSI,BCM, and ANDERSON which's in new condition wont do it but my worn abused psa did it and very easily like only 5 ft/lb maybe not that much of force it also had click feeling when it failed.

Interesting. Indeed. Im fairly sure bcm would do it and any ch would do it, the problem is the angle on the upper.

Im 99% sure its because of worn upper not the ch.

mil-spec style won't, it's because of the way the raptor pivots.
i bet the design of the raptor also accelerates wear on the upper, my war upper isn't even that old, i got it in november/december 2015

It's my favorite stock, I had three of them but I got rid of the other 2 because they murder my beard.

I left it on the 9mm because the CTR is the shortest stock that fits on a standard receiver extension, and fitting in a backpack is the goal. It's even shorter than the Ace Entry I used to have, only stronger, more comfortable, and adjustable to fit actual humans.

Oh no completely separate issue from that another anon which have high spot in his PTAC upper arresting the bcg movement.

GOM's raptor ch would BOP him in nose mid shooting because his worn upper ch locking hole is allowing raptor to get unlocked by itself and bop'ing GOM in nose.

Gom at first uncertain if issue is with the ch or upper. GOM went at raptor latch with dremel altering the angle to be more aggressive on locking. GOM then post video of him performing demonstration and test which is prying raptor open with screwdriver stick between center of raptor and upper after locking latch altering job with dremel the video appear him applying about 10 ft/lb of force to make raptor fail and unlock without the handle being touched.

In attempt aid GOM and myself to reach decision whenever it is upper or raptor's fault. i then perform same test with two of my raptor across 3-4 different upper which include HDSI, BCM, PSA, and ANDERSON. PSA the most worn upper in my possession failed easily with only maybe 5 ft/lb forced applied with click feeling to it and certainly sound too meanwhile bcm, hdsi, and anderson which all are in new condition hold until i reach about 12ft/lb threshold which i set to reduce risk of marring or damaging either the ch or my upper. I then performed same test with milspec and milspec performed head and shoulder better than raptor in this specific test.

Thats basically... it.

Muzzle devices thoughts, opinions, advice.

I'm still rocking A2 bird cage. I don't really know a reason to switch. Most of what I have seen just talks about the benefits in terms of recoil and concussion. Lowered recoil would be nice but correct me if I'm wrong won't that significantly reduce muzzle velocity and all the benefits there in?

TL;DR good reason to ditch A2 birdcage?

>>
>>29307417
Yeah, and they actually retail for around $570. I got mine on Black Friday for $500. They're actually forged, not milled, so they cost a pretty penny to cover the forging molds. At least, that's what I assume.

I'm not the anon who is doing the other Aero build, by the way. I think his upper cost around $150 and their billet lowers go for ~$200.
>>
>>29307401
Nope MV stay same really. No compelling reason to drop a2 but if you want superior flash suppessing performance or recoil reduce or muzzle jump reduce.
>>
>>29307398
Me stupid
>>
>>29307401
>reduce muzzle velocity
Most brakes marginally increase MV actually.

A brake or compensator reduces muzzle climb and felt recoil at the tradeoff of extra concussion to the shooter and generally more muzzle flash than a flash hider (duh).

A flash hider either has no or very marginal benefits as far as recoil and muzzle climb reduction but hides the flash very well. The best designs (multi-prong) tend to have a ringing noise to them that some shooters find annoying, but personally I put it in the same category as buffer spring noise.

There are hybrids, usually labelled as compensators, that do both somewhat.

So. Reasons to ditch A2:
>better flash hider
There are significantly better MD's at hiding flash than the A2, though most are the prong style that do literally nothing for recoil or muzzle rise.
>Significantly more recoil/climb reduction
A gill brake, of which there are many, would provide the best recoil reduction at the cost of being extraordinarily annoying to people around you. This may be a plus to some.
>little bit of both
If you want a hybrid, the PWS FSC does both decently well. It's probably the best balanced. Muzzle flash is really only an issue for people with current-gen (gen3+) NODs, and muzzle climb reduction is decent.

Your upper include handguard. I could say that the value us split between the handguard part and the upper itself.

So like $250 for upper and $250 for handguard.

But if stripped upper itself with no fixed handguard section is sold for $570 i will be damned.

10.5" barrel, hardened chrome moly barrel, whatever brand that MAS Defense gets their barrels from.
>>
>>29307613
Depends on the ammo. I can go a good 900+ with my handloads before I'm actually getting a noticeable amount of shit caked on the bolt but with Tula I'm lucky to get 250 before it's plowing shit.

>>29307629
Might b interested in teh upper. Whats the specs on the rest of it?

what would you guys say is the best or tied for the best AR in the world? I would say it's tied between the M16 line and the AK line. The M16 for its weight, accuracy, and range as well as its superb modding capability and the AK line for its durability, ease of production, and reliability.

What lube you have? It really depend if you never take your bcg out and handle it or does it everytime you see you gun.

And depend if you have say shitty rem oil or nice n thick lube like mpro7.

Grease's great.

If you never take bcg out grease will last 2k easy and mpro maybe 1k.

Read the thread. Dont quite understand the problem nor am I too worried. And I still have two BCMs even if I sell the brand new in package BCM.

>>29307641
Standard upper receiver, has a syrac ordnance adjustable gas block, have both a Midwest Industries free float quad rail or a Troy Alpha rail, pick which one you like most and I can send it with the one ya like. Muzzle device is a YHM QD flash hider. Thats what Im selling for 350.

For 450 Ill include a nickel boron coated BCG and a milspec charging handle with a big latch. Heres a pic, with wrong muzzle device mind you.

Also could lower the price if you give me some time to get new roll pins and I replace the adjustable gas block with a standard gas block.
