I was in the shop the other day checking out these guns. I'm honestly torn between the two. Is the recoil/accuracy any better on the 19? I feel having a smaller more concealable gun when I need it with the option of having an extension mag or just throwing a G19 mag into it makes the 19 kind of pointless when choosing between the two. I have a pretty skinny frame and however I holster the 19 it sticks out.

Anyone had experiences with these 2 that wants to weigh in?
>>
g26 is more kawaii

I would probably prefer a Glock 27 though if I was going for concealed anyway
>>
>>28289914

sounds like you've already eliminiated the 19
>>
>>28289914
both are fine but it really depends on if you can tolerate not having a full grip on the gun most likely your pinky has no space on a 26

the 26 recoils slightly more but its still 9 so its not bad its just harder to control cause youve got less gun to hold
>>
>>28289953

It feels better in my hand but I just can't conceal it. If anyone has tips to conceal better for a skinny prick like me I may stick with the 19
>>
Coming from a G26 owner, go with the G19. Still kicking myself for choosing the 26 over the 19.
The G26 has literally no advantages, except a shortet grip, which isn't really an advantage since it's harder to get a full-hand grip on.
Plus the 19 holds 5 extra round with just a slightly longer grip.

Try the 4-o-clock or 4:30 position.
Try a better holster.
Try dressing to the gun.
Try not dressing like a woman.
>>
>>28289986
buy a good holster and belt
dress around it rethink your wardrobe
>>
>>28289914
G17, G19, G40, and G43 are best Glocks.
>>
I have both. I'm average build and don't feel like carrying the 19 for ccw. Instead I carry 2 26's, one hip, one ankle. The 19 is a good bedside piece but is too big to be comfortable for me unless open carrying.

my wife isnt licensed but is trained to use it. if I get injured or run out of ammo she will have a fighting chance. also carry an extra 15 round mag. if I was Yeager I'd have a 43 on me as well.
>>
>>28289986
Im 5'9 and 185ish lbs and I appendix carry a g19 in a Gcode incog. It prints but not enough to warrant a change in gun or wardrobe. Try different holster options maybe?

Related question for /k/, Im gonna have to start doing adult things like wearing a suit and shit and I'm between the g26 and the g43. Anyone care to weigh in on the conceal-ability between the two?
>>
>>28290094

I live in Florida. It's always hot, my wardrobe consists of tank tops and sometimes t shirts. When I go out I throw on a button up.
>>
Also I was considering having a glock 19 for my house and the range and just getting an M&P bodyguard down the line. Not sure how reliable they are though.

Appendix, and dress better, darker colors etc. Granted walking makes the end of mag print some, but you'd be amazed how how oblivious people are. I have g19 there btw.
>>
>>28289914
>>28290182
This fat fuck can't even conceal a g19 without printing how the fuck do you think you're gonna do it OP?
If you aren't completely set on glocks, the m&p compact and fns compact are between the g26 and g19 size wise
>>
>>28290182
You can conceal just about anything with a suit. Never handled a G43 but for me its always overall size and not width that causes me to print.

If for no other reason, I would get a G26 as it can take you G19 mags.
>>
>>28289914
G26 is fine OP. Don't listen to all these complainers. Plus, it's small enough for pocket carry if you have really baggy cargo pants

Where do you live by the way? You can get away with carrying certain guns if you live somewhere cold compared to somewhere like south florida during the winter time.

Also to add, you can hit targets reliably out to 100 yards with a glock 26 if you know what you're doing.

Consider a sig p320 compact. The internals are considered the firearm and the frames are interchangeable so you can switch out from a compact frame to a subcompact and the frames only cost ~$40
>>
>>28290377

I had switched from my g19 to a 320c but ended up switching back after how badly it was printing. I think this had more to do with holster options than with the gun itself. Regardless if my g19 prints a tad thats fine. The 320c looked as though I was smuggling a cordless drill in my waistband

I'm assuming you're only interested in 9mm's but .380's can be small enough to carry in your pocket

I live in south Florida, lol. Alright thanks I'll look into it
>>
>>28290481

Yeah. I was thinking about getting the glock 19 for my house and taking it to the range and then getting something like an m&p bodyguard to carry with my. Only problem I see is the low capacity

Ayy, I live in south florida too. Have 4 more months to wait until I'm 21 but I think I'm gonna get a p239 or a p938.
>>28290497
>Only problem I see is the low capacity
Apparently in most cases, only about ~3 shots are fired in a self defense shooting, some low amount like that. But still, I can understand why someone would prefer more ammo. People often carry a flush fit mag and then have high cap spares.
>>
>>28290338
12 o'clock. The gun dances with my dick. Yeah I'm small, so when I was trying 1 and 2 o'clock, the holster was destroying my thigh.
>>
The 26 with the +2 grip extension is almost identical to the 19.

I own both, because I got the 19 first, but I would buy the 26 if I could only have one of them.

They are basically the same gun, but the 26 is more versatile for cc

To be honest though, it doesn't matter and you won't have any buyer's remorse with either of them

A better recommendation is to get the 19 now and then a pocket 9mm like the LC9, PM9,or G43 later or even smaller with the LCR or Bodyguard

Thats only been an issue for me when I appendix carry by hk45ct. its a big guy so I OWB it now. With the right gun/holster combo, it shouldnt be an issue. I recently drove drove from Tampa FL to Savannah GA while appendixing my g19 w/ threaded barrel and It was no problem whatsoever.

For appendix carry, the grip is the only thing that would actually stick out/print, things like the slide length don't really matter for it.

The 26 is a great carry weapon and i have no trouble getting a good grip, bitches in here worried about pinky extentions are cracking me up, i have no trouble shooting this as well as my full size handguns. You just have to get used to it man, after that you will be fine. Get some tru glos and talon grips for fun.
>>
>>28291100
When I carry, you can't tell its a gun, and you really wont notice any bulge unless you were really looking.
>>
>>28291195

if you have really big hands it will be too small like a mouse gun. I have large hands and it doesnt bother me.
>>
>>28291039

The PM9 is still the best pocket 9mm on the market

It's expensive, looks like shit, has a retarded take down method, is no fun to shoot, and has a shitty trigger, but god damn is it easy to carry.

It is a horrible range toy, but a perfect CC.

It's not. Ruger or S&W, so that's a plus, and it's shorter and lighter that the G43
>>
>>28291100

The law in most states says that all you have to do is to have made a reasonable attempt to conceal the gun. It's intentionally vague

Fudd lore days you'll get arrested for printing, but every cop that I've talked to said they don't give a shit about obvious printing and that no one has ever been arrested for printing

Both the tru glos that came with my dad's two 226's had the front tube fall out. That being said the sight is still fucking usable. I prefer fiber optic Dawson's and if they made suppressor height ones, I would consider getting them for my 19
>>
>>28291544
