Ignoring performance, what's your favorite muzzle device, /k/? What's the coolest?
>>27957270
Any thing that produces yard-length fireballs
Witt Machine makes some pretty cool looking ones.
>>27957270
the one that performs best
>>27957270
I like the looks of the Troy claymore. What with the sharp points and the front towards enemy etching.
battlecomp obviously
>>27957270
why would you ignore performance?
the coolest is probably the aac brake/warden combo. there are other qd blast shields out there but being like a pseudo suppressor ups its cool kid status
Any muzzle device for any rifle
>>27957288
Those bitches replaced the barrel of a amusing Nagant with som kind of fuckhuge stovepipe.
Saw it on MAC's Instagram last summer.
Still don't know what it was
>>27957312
Because I'm asking purely on aesthetics
>>27957316
This one, most likely. They make several for nagants.
>>27957270
A2 flash hider
>>27957289
so, the m4-72?
>>27957270
def pic related, because its mine
>>27957334
Literally I mean huge stovepipe. The entire barrel was replaced by something that was at least 3 inch in diameter. The whole thing looked like that X-Products Can launcher.
But x54 blanks would fuck up that can by the sheer pressure shock
>>27957288
Yeah want one of the 30 cal ones pretty bad plus if the videos are true the performance benefit is amazing.

>Mosin brake
>not made from the bayonet and sheet metal
>>>/trash/
The krink can is probably my favorite looking muzzle device sans a purty suppressor or something.
For an AR, Smith Vortex flash hider. For an AK, Krebs flash hider or Zenit DTK-2 depending on your wants.
For an SBR/bullpup one of those neat blast compensator/linear compensators or whatever. Much more pleasant to shoot, I imagine even moreso indoors.
i like jcomp
looks good performs good
p loud tho
G28 FH.
>>27957775
does the optic hold a zero on that dust cover...was thinking about taking off my Midwest industries krink hand guards and going with wood... and mounting the optic else where
>>27957844
It held zero for me but if your not careful you can dent the wooden upper handguard when you open up the dust cover from the optic. Plus you have to drill holes into the dust cover for the rail install.
If you don't give a fuck about that then go for it.
Bulgarian 4 piece flash hider. Some recoil reduction, but very good flash reduction and it pushes what muzzle blast there is out and away from the shooter. If I could have it on every rifle I own I would.
So what exactly do these things do?
Specwar 556k
>>27958011
>They make you look real cool to all your mall ninja friends.
Jk real reasons are recoil reduction, muzzle climb reduction, flash supression(for NV), loudeners for shits n giggles, easy sound suppressor mounting, and much much more.
i saw a flash suppressor for an ok once, it looked like a can but had a lot of holes all over it...
i really wish i knew what it was i looked for it for like 3 hours one day...
>>27958065
Something like this?
All the screws come out btw so its configurable
>>27958065
Sounds like the Spike's Tactical AK dynacomp.
>>27958078
Looks like a mini grenade.
>screw spikes into holes
>screw in bore cap that holds a decent amount of tannerite
>bust muzzle through a shitty door or something
>pull trigger
>mini frag grenade
>fucked rifle
Almost worth it.
KAC MAMS
Objectively the best
>>27958091
THIS THIS THIS OMFG THIS
>>27958078
flash bang
Nothing beats this one in the looks department IMO
Even if some it was the shittiest brake ever I'd still keep it on all of my 74 clones because I love the way it looks
>>27958937
74 is pretty good but I've always had a thing for the standard krinker brake
>>27957591
>only the female holds the weapon correctly the entire time.
I like the 3 holes on the sides types. They look silly on AR's, but nice on my Savage Axis SR
For when your shotgun needs teeth.
>>27957811
Would a blast comp be nice on a 16" barrel?
This one from Zenit. Pure fucking sex on the aesthetics side, pure enjoyment when shooting.
>minimizes barrel rise
>all recoil you get is from the bolt carrier slamming the receiver
>>27959198
Looks like it was made with a dremel in a tweeker's garage
>>27957270
I like my Manticore muzzle brake.
>>27959086
aka the "man, now i really want to find a way to mount a working hole saw on my muzzle" brake
>>27957270
AK slant brake
>dat simplicity
>adds very little length
>makes your barrel look sharp and scary
>can bash it through a window in a pinch
>can still accept bayonet
>>27959365
slant brake fucking sucks balls
>having a brake that vents in 360 degrees
A brake should vent to the sides and upwards. Why would you have one that vents into the ground? Seems idiotic.
>>27957309
I used to work in a machine shop making battle comps.
>>27957270
My only muzzle device is a slant brake.
Semi-auto: Griffin Armament M4SD- Performs just as well as the Battlecomp at 1/3 the price, and QD suppressor compatibility.
Bolt gun: Overkill Customs Bully Brake- Makes a .300 Win Mag feel like a .223.
Aesthetically I like the KAC T3 brake but the MAMS works better.
A-A2 birdcage...because it's my only one, and I'm a cheapass.
Cost $5 and does what it advertises, good enough.
>>27957844
Considering it's hinged to the sight block it should hold just fine. No worse than it would with stock irons.
>>27958937
There's just something about it. So simple, so sexy.
>>27957365
Something from Teludyne, maybe? I think they're the ones that make these weird composite barrels that look like what you're describing.
>>27957270
the jugger is mall ninja as fuck but I like it
I like my 249F
>>27957828
>that whole setup
erotic, i like your taste
Bcm gunfighter lads
I have this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSizVpfqFtw
I've got one of these because I think it looks spiffy
>>27957270
do people actually buy products to mitigate recoil on their ARs, it's fucking pathetic and i'm a spooky skeleton manlet
>>27962810
AR-10 yeah ill use something to reduce climb. Doesn't make the recoil softer just easier to keep on target.
AR-15 its usually anything to make it loud or gives it a fireball off an sbr
>>27962810
People buy them because they look cool, and a plain crown looks like shit on an AR.
>>27962852
I bought one once to because my barrel was too short to clear the rifle racks at the range.
>>27957270
This to be quite honest, family
>>27957270
Name one thing cooler than dragons.
>>27962897
2 dragons?
>>27962897
What company makes that one lost their site and could never find it.
>>27962897
dragon dildos
I'm still trying to fund a good break for barrel harmonics for my .308 build when I get a new barrel.
Any suggestions anyone?

A suppressor
>>27962970
http://precisionrifleblog.com/2014/12/20/best-suppressors-and-muzzle-brakes/
>>27962970
find* not fund. Still waiting to start wearing down the barrel before getting a new one.
>>27962976
I wouldn't mind getting a can, but that's farther down the line. Want to build a either a .243 or 300win before getting a can.
>>27962970
>barrel harmonics
I doubt this is the limiting factor of accuracy in your case
>>27962983
That Fatbastard has my eye, but seems a bit too much overkill for a .308 but could be well worth it.
>>27962989
The shooter is the number one factor and I'm constantly improving, but what do you mean? Can't tell if you're being facetious or not.
All my mounts are solid, in the picture my Harris was just placed before mounting for the picture. Along with the bedding, pillars, shims, base, etc..
Glass could be the only thing I would think that could limit me.
>>27962970
What stock is it?
>>27963134
KRG X-ray. Extremely good for it's price.
Especially with the tikka t3, the entire setup loaded is extremely lite. Can hump in the woods no issue.
>>27959028
what stock?
>>27962914
Reverse search is a wonderful thing. You're welcome.

Can that stock take a .300 WM Tikka T3?
>>27957270
Turns 'NO NO NO!' into 'MMM MMM MM!'
>>27965151
>not turning it into slurping and gagging sounds
>>27962810
If you're running a bump-SAW or an ATF toy then there may be a need for them, but honestly, they mostly look cool.
>>27959028
>300 AAC
motherfucker, you know that's not what that is.
i just broke mine, shit sucks.
